I think that it doesn't sound like braking news. Pretty sure the Queen doesn't meet with too many private US citizens.

The Guardian? :rotf:
The Guardian has been consistently loss-making. The paper is therefore heavily dependent on cross-subsidisation from profitable companies within the group, including Auto Trader.
The Guardian and its parent groups participate in Project Syndicate, established by George Soros.

I think you full of shit as a Christmas turkey and would kiss Obama rear end if asked.

She's a former prime minister. Not the queen.

I doubt it. Maggie Thatcher is to British Conservatism what Ronald Reagan is to American Conservatism. They worked together as well.
She's a great woman, and it seems a pretty good judge of character.

That totally makes everything they state a complete lie.

I probably should have worked ACORN somewhere in here too.

Yeah I was tired last night, Even more reason why it isn't breaking news.

The article by Massie, a former Daily Telegraph Washington correspondent, will not help Limbaugh who sought to portray my blog as an example of the left's media bias against Palin. The transcript of his remarks on Wednesday carries a grainy picture of Palin above the words: Enemy of the Left.
News flash you filthy beef-boiling pome git - your "blog" IS an example of the lefts bias against Palin. It drips from every word of the drivel you spout.
The entirety of that trash tabloid better known as "the guardian" is blatantly biased to the left and is unashamedly anti-American - even by filthy pome git standards.

Questionable sources from some posters are really starting to reach the annoying level.
No one that works for Margaret Thatcher uttered any such thing. She is 85 and is very ill. She did not attend her own birthday party. She no longer takes visitors.
The Sarah Palin derangement syndrome is usually very comical to watch, but please leave Margaret Thatcher the hell alone in this.

You know you can have a conversation here without being a smart ass. Reasonable and respectful (especially when you're new) is much more conducive to discussion. We have some pretty heated discussions here about different issues and candidates, yet we manage to do so without every post containing an insult based on some caricature you think represent people not like you.
Take a principled stand and explain you're point of view. Unless of course the only reason you're here is to throw insults around like you're still in middle school. You aren't smarter or better than anyone else. Spend some time getting to know people and you might earn some respect. There's a lot of diversity of thought here but you'll never learn that because you're too busy planning your next snarky, holier-than-thou insult.
Oh, by the way, no one said anything about Glenn Beck or Zionism. The Guardian IS liberal. It has nothing to do with some stupid conspiracy. Reading lots of articles and opinion pieces in a publication will give you insight into it's bent. News Max is mostly conservative and Weekly Standard is an elitist news magazine pretending to be conservative. While you were trying to impress yourself by being too cute by half made yourself look foolish by saying something totally irrelevant to the conversation.
George Soros is a progressive. He's made that very clear and he's not ashamed of it. His quotes are everywhere from blogs to news sites to youTube. His history and associations are also public. His rather unsavory financial deals that made him rich while preaching socialism to everyone else are also matters of public record. There are shitty people of all political stripes. He just happens to be one of the creepiest. If you like him and support his ideas, fine.

When you put it like that it seems at least semi-reasonable. But tha doesnt change the fact that all over I hear all these stupid conspiracy theories about Soros trying to destroy America or something like that. Plus when people jump all over the fact that something is "Soros funded" it reminds me a little too much of when stormfronters easily dismiss anything that has a Jew connected to it in a any way. And a lot of it is based on some rather shaky conspiracy logic, I can vividly remember Glenn Beck drawing the rather pointless connection that Julian Assanges lawyer once defended a company/foundation that was in some obscure way connected to Soros. Im quite frankly sick of hearing about him.

Soros's goals and political deals are all well known.
His heritage does not elevate him above criticism, just as Obama's race does not elevate him above criticism.

Just because you've heard something "all over" doesn't mean anyone else has. That's like telling your parents "but everybody else is doing it!" However, when I've watched Glenn Beck he does support what he says with videos, writings, etc. You can disagree with someone's conclusions but not the facts. When you have a body of material to base your conclusions on you can get a picture of a person's values and beliefs. The difference between Beck and those on the left who criticize him is he goes directly to the source. Most that criticize Glenn Beck get their opinions from secondary sources like Media Matters (which, ironically is funded by Soros). I don't know anything about Wikileak's lawyer but I do know Beck has shown all the organizations/groups that Soros funds (not just donates to but provides major funding) and how they're connected. And he always lists his sources, ALWAYS.
Progressives say corporations & "the rich" are destroying America. Yet, here you have a man who has a documented history of destroying (or trying to destroy) the financial systems of countries around the world but he gets a pass. His financial manipulation in Russia, England, and France hurt the poor and middle class, not the banks and the rich. An entire political party being in bed with a man who deliberately destroyed poor and middle class families for he own gain needs some investigation. That's the kind of thing journalists used to do. Now they're too busy looking for evidence that Sarah Palin gave someone wedgie in 7th grade to do any real investigative work. Hell, for all we know Soros might be the one who took 0bama's extra states. He makes no secret of his support of the Democrats and the left and that's his prerogative, but the words he says, his actions, the foundations he starts and the groups he funds does give an indication of his world view. It's not rocket science. He's a major player in the world, he's newsworthy.
Crony capitalism is a huge problem. We also know Soros was very supportive of the 0bama campaign financially (follow the money), through many of the organizations he funds. And now wonder of wonders, we've (well, 0bama, we never got a vote) given money that we DO NOT have to Petrobras, Brazil's oil company. Guess what they're going to use that money for: building deep oil wells off our coast in the same area BP was drilling. Guess what the biggest holding is in Soros' portfolio? Petrobras. But I'm sure that this is all a happy coincidence. So during a time of economic crisis when the entire nation is struggling, 0bama takes away American jobs, supposedly for environmental concerns and gives $10 BILLION to a company that will line Soros' pockets even more. And it will give jobs to Brazilians instead of our own citizens. THAT'S crony capitalism. Again, that's the kind of reporting journalists used to do.

Oh no I wasnt saying that those who criticize him are anti-semetic, Im saying they use the same kind of flawed logic anti-semites use.
"If I can in some convaluted way connect this publication/person I dont like with Soros/Jews then that proves that everything they say is invalid."

Now you've done it. ;-)
And in so few words.

She's as vicious as the queen, of course. Word is, she sits on the 3rd floor of her Lincolnshire mansion, throwing lawn darts down into crowds of tourists.

Margaret Thatcher did not ‘snub’ Sarah Palin
"I have spoken to Lady Thatcher’s Private Office regarding the story, and they confirm that the attack on Sarah Palin definitely did not come from her office, and in no way reflects her views. As a former aide to Margaret Thatcher myself, I can attest that this kind of thinking is entirely alien to her, and that such remarks would never be made by her office. She has always warmly welcomed like-minded figures in the United States, and has in the past met with numerous US presidential candidates and political dignitaries when they have visited London. But at the age of 85 she is now able to receive very few visitors at all."
"There was never any snub of Sarah Palin by Lady Thatcher’s office. However, there has been a great deal of mischief-making and unpleasantness from sections of the liberal press in a vain and futile attempt to use Margaret Thatcher’s name to smear a major US politician."
UK Telegraph (http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/nilegardiner/100092054/margaret-thatcher-did-not-%E2%80%98snub%E2%80%99-sarah-palin-the-truth-about-the-iron-lady-and-the-former-governor-of-alaska/)
The trolls at the Guardian are as bad as the trolls we get here.
Pathetic.
