Please explain to me why adultery is disqualifier for public office.
"He should resign"
Really? Why?
If he broke other meaningful laws while committing adultery, that's a different story. But whenever one of these scandals comes up, the outrage, the pearl clutching, the STORY, is always about ****ing, getting ready to ****, cleaning up after the ****, denying the ****, taking issue with the style of the ****. Et Cetera.
Paying illegal money to your aide to shut up about ****ing his wife, is probably a crime. But no one is outraged about that. I guarantee - I absolutely guarantee - that more googling was done to see what the ****ee looked like than to look into how using the parents' money to pay off her husband was a crime.
What a filthy post from Stinks. Call me hopelessly old-fashioned, but I have a one word answer for him:
INTEGRITY
Nah, all those are too complicated. Gotta speak to the audience here.
Imagine if you will, Mr. Clown, that instead of Breitbart getting those photos it was one of the MILLIONS of whacked out militia groups that want to return us to the exalted state of marsall law (like I said, pitch to the audience).
You saw how frantic Weiner was to distance himself from his perversion (and sending unsolicited photos of one's genitalia qualifies as a perversion, when done on the street it's called flashing). He would have done anything to keep those photos from getting out.
So imagine some bad people with those photos. Not Breitbart bad - he just wants to make a buck. I'm talking bad like KKK bad controlling a sitting New York Representative (as opposed to being a sitting West Virginia Senator). In that case, Weiner's gonna drop your precious progressive agenda in a New York minute and start pushing for exactly what you don't want. You thought DINOs were bad? You ain't seen nothing yet.
That's why it matters.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1262489A democrat can never agree to that premise, because it's exactly the same reason a homo should never hold public office.
Stinky, I thought better of you. I really did. I thought you had at least 2 brain cells to rub together but you've just proved me wrong. WHY should adultery be a disqualifier? I'll give you a one word answer then you tell me;
EXTORTION
Oh, here's another;
BLACKMAIL
They're pretty close together though.
Your other DUmmies in that thread are hitting on just another reason simply because liberals don't want to admit these sex scandals put our representatives at risk for doing all kinds of nasty things to stay out of the headlines.

If a person will lie to the supposed most important person in their lives, what will they do to the general public?
Stinky The Clown (1000+ posts) Thu Jun-09-11 10:03 AMBecause he lied to the people who entrust him to represent them in an honest and ethical manner.

frank, are you sure that beth is still the stupidest person on the internet?
Doug's stupid ex-wife, on the other hand, has yet to show any bias against deaf people; she might be, but she hasn't shown it yet.Beth has been biased against deaf people ever since the freepers killed Andy.

Okay, question.
What is this "boardreader" thing where franksolich is making so many appearances?
I've never clicked on it, because I know nothing about it, and I'm cautious about going places whose nature I don't know. Is being on it good or bad?
BoardReader is a site that lets you search information being shared on forums and message boards across the Internet. This content is often missed by search engines, which is a shame because it is often some of the best discussion of very specific topics online.http://sites.wakingbraincells.com/2011/03/04/boardreader/
You can search by keyword or use more advanced search functions that let you do Boolean type searches, different languages, specific date ranges, limit it to one domain, decide how you want the results sorted, and how many results will be shown.
Each search gets a rather fascinating graph of the way that search term is trending over the last month. You can also see more graphs.
This is a nice and niche search engine that gets us into touch with data that might just be the answer to a difficult question.
It seems legit from what I read about it.
How about because if he'll break an oath to his wife, he'll break one to his constituents?I've always regarded marriage vows as an oath to God, not just to another person.
