Dept of Education uses SWAT to collect student loan
STOCKTON, CA - Kenneth Wright does not have a criminal record and he had no reason to believe a S.W.A.T team would be breaking down his door at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
"I look out of my window and I see 15 police officers," Wright said.
Wright came downstairs in his boxer shorts as a S.W.A.T team barged through his front door. Wright said an officer grabbed him by the neck and led him outside on his front lawn.
"He had his knee on my back and I had no idea why they were there," Wright said.

The average person in the U.S. has FAR more reason to fear arbitrary action by our own government than an attack by foreigners.
Call it what it is: exactly what you leftist assholes demanded.
The government took over student loans by brute force diktat. The law was stuffed into the ObamaCare bill--which no one read--and passed under the rules of reconciliation.
And you **** nuggets cheered when it happened.
If the student loan programs were private no bank could use a SWAT team. Sure they might get liens or garnishments but they'd have to go through courts with representative council etc.
You wanted Obama and the government to have the power, now they have it.

Just wait until the IRS gets involved in enforcing buying insurance. There was a reason for hiring more IRS agents and buying more guns.

We can't blame this only on the Democrats. The Patriot act, which gave them the powers they are now abusing, was put in by a Republican dominated house and Senate under W.

What, exactly, does the Patriot Act have to do with the Dept. of Ed. using SWAT teams? I'm missing the connection.

1. There are legitimate national security issues the PA addresses
2. Student loans have nothing to do with national security
3. If the term "national security" can be abused stage this sort of non-sense so can the term "civil order" but anarchy is just as evil

5. Claiming the PA is the guiding authority for this action seems fabricated out of ideological wholecloth at this point.

I heard on the news that the government today in court said that it is actually a TAX (forcing everyone to buy health insurance). What happens when you refuse to pay your taxes? Ask Wesley Snipes.

Agreed - I suspect as this story unfolds, a few details will emerge making it not about a defaulted loan but about something far more egregious.
