Dept. of Education breaks down Stockton man's door

STOCKTON, CA - Kenneth Wright does not have a criminal record and he had no reason to believe a S.W.A.T team would be breaking down his door at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

"I look out of my window and I see 15 police officers," Wright said.

Wright came downstairs in his boxer shorts as a S.W.A.T team barged through his front door. Wright said an officer grabbed him by the neck and led him outside on his front lawn.

The U.S. Department of Education issued the search and called in the S.W.A.T for his wife's defaulted student loans.

He should have just told them his wife is an illegal alien Mexican. Then everything would have been fine.

This is too weird.  There's gotta be something more to how this came about.

Why are you surprised? With obastard's buddy, and Chicago's Arne Duncan heading the DOEd, nothing surprises me.

SWAT team launch dawn raid on family home to collect unpaid student loans (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2001010/SWAT-team-launch-dawn-raid-family-home-collect-womans-unpaid-student-loans.html?ito=feeds-newsxml)

Quote
A father was dragged from his home and handcuffed in front of his children by a SWAT team looking for his estranged wife - to collect her unpaid student loans.

A stunned Kenneth Wright had his front door kicked in by the raiding party at 6 am yesterday before being dragged onto his front porch, handcuffed and led to a police car with his three children. He says he was then detained for six hours while officers looked for his wife - who no longer lives at the house.

Mr Wright was later told by Stockton police that the order to send in the SWAT team came from The U.S. Department of Education who were looking for his estranged wife to collect defaulted loan payments.

Speaking to ABC News 10, a visibly shaken Mr Wright described what happened when he was woken by a banging on his front door. He said: 'I look out of my window and I see 15 police officers. Dressed in his boxer shorts, Mr Wright says he rushed downstairs and was about to open the door when it was kicked open.

An officer then grabbed him by the neck before dragging him out onto the front lawn. His 3, 7, and 11-year-old children were also removed by officers and put in a waiting police car. 'He had his knee on my back and I had no idea why they were there,' Mr Wright said. 'They put me in handcuffs in that hot patrol car for six hours, traumatising my kids.'

6 hours to look for his wife in the house? I seem to recall we used to have this thing called the Fourth Amendment. Of course that was before Lord Stinky appointed Eric Holder headed up the new and improved inJustice Department. Is this why Stinky insisted on nationalizing the student loan industry? Is this what we can expect when we are behind payments after he nationalizes the health care industry too? Is reinstating "debtors' prisons" next?

So in 0bamaland we can sell guns to mexican drug lords and send in a small army because a woman isn't paid up on her student loans. AIG gets a handout over its unpaid bills, poor Kenneth gets a beat down. Whats next?

The first thing that should have prompted you to do due diligence on this story is the source.

This is not about unpaid student loans.  This is criminal action for financial aid fraud:

A little more info from Fox:

Quote
"While it was reported in local media that the search was related to a defaulted student loan, that is incorrect," the statement read. "This is related to a criminal investigation. The Inspector General's Office does not execute search warrants for late loan payments."

Hamilton declined to comment on the specifics of the case, citing an ongoing investigation.
"We can say that the OIG's office conducts about 30-35 search warrants a year on issues such as bribery, fraud, and embezzlement of federal student aid funds," the statement continued.

...

The search allowed for the seizure of any student financial aid documents, W2 forms and electronic communications.
...

One of Wright's neighbors, a woman who identified herself only as Becky, saw the raid, which started at 6:45 a.m. and lasted until at least 10:45 a.m., she said.

Since the DOE isn't spilling the beans about the ex-wife, all we get to do is speculate.

Maybe she's one of those lifelong "students" that racked up triple-digit loans and are still tyring to "find" themselves fifty years after they left high school.

That's what the court systems and regular law enforcement is for. All of these different agencies and departments having their own enforcement agencies, many times overlapping, reminds me of the cluster**** that was the Nazi Germany governmental model. The local cops didn't even know this was going on. That, to me, doesn't seem to be what our founders envisioned.

Fraud? Coming from this administration? Funny ... aside from that ..

what about the "due diligence" of the authorities with all the powers of the federal government at their disposal to make certain that the person they were looking for was even at the residence, before they wreaked havoc on the rest of the family at the break of dawn? What genius came up with this plan? This is how innocent people get killed.

Talk about "criminal action". And this from the "Department of Indoctrination.. I mean Education"?

Excuse me if I dont appear to be too sympathetic with Lord Stinkys jack booted thuggery.

Doing more than headline reading will yield you all the answers you are looking for.

The warrant was not to find this individual.  It was to secure the following:

Quote
The search allowed for the seizure of any student financial aid documents, W2 forms and electronic communications.

I can see that taking four hours to complete.    If this indvidual/family was defrauding the government out of financial aid, then I have very little sympathy for them.

Multiple calls to a Stockton Police Department spokesman were not returned on Wednesday. According to ABC 10/KXTV, the Stockton Police Department said it was asked by federal agents to provide one officer and one patrol car for a police presence when executing the search warrant.

They did know.  However, I do think it has been a long standing problem that federal agents steamroll any and all investigations they are involved in, stripping power away from local authorities.   I agree with you that it is reason to be very concerned.

Screw this shit, what would have happend had the father had a weapon in his home and killed one of the men invading his home in the early morning knowing only that someone was kicking in his door???

He had 3 little kids sleeping in his home and how was he to know being awaken from sleep this was not a gang of thieves or other Nair do wells.

I do not remember the spelling but the phonic spelling is---Juden Rass------Jews come out.

The sudden attack on a family, doors being kicked in, the rampage at gun point looking for someone, or the family books, or mail that can prove the home owner is guilty of SOMETHING.

One of 2 cases make my blood boil.   Wrong address for a dug bust, elderly man, deaf, a pastor for 50 years , shot dead as he could not hear the commands of the Swat team.

Case number 2, man is in the shower wife nude in bed sleeping, SWAT comes in, another wrong address, the man hears his wife scream, grabs a gun and is shot dead.

Oh yes the government has enough money to pay off all the mistakes it makes to terrorising citizens, destroying their property or killing a member who is trying to protect the family from unwarranted invasion.

I am still pissed off about Wacco, still pissed off about the Rudy Ridge incident where a woman was holding her baby looking out a window and picked off by a sharp shooter.

Am I  :mental: for believing this is the very reason our Bill of Rights was and should be still a part of American rights????
