Okay, this was aired as a legitimate news story at the time I posted it.

Apparently it's not.

Now they are saying no bodies.

Which of course is good news.

And why I very quickly had to move this out of the "Breaking News" forum, to somewhere else.

Frank, the question, why are we so ready to believe this news story???

Why are we so ready to believe this in fact happend????

Could this be because of the true story's of a dozen or so body's have been found over the border?

Border, what is this, an invisible line on a map that may be only 20 miles from your home.?

Politics, often cover ups things that may cause riots or worse politicians jobs on the line.

This story may in fact be true but squelched due to fear of the public reaction.    On the other hand the story came from somewhere for motives we do not know.

Remember when the Jehovah Wittiness warned the world of the death camps, few would believe them.
The idea was so outlandish even the Jews living in America did not believe it.

Interesting story Frank, darn life is complicated, layers and layers of information to dig through. What is true, what is false.

Well now, vesta, madam, three things.

When I brought this over, it was the big headline on Drudge; in fact, I was rather surprised it hadn't been posted in "Breaking News" until I did it myself, given that I'm usually behind everybody else.

The source was a well-established, well-reputed, newspaper in Australia, and hence probably not exactly known for sensationalism.

I forget the third reason; it's 105 degrees in the shade, very high humidity, this afternoon, and so the cerebral-cells aren't connecting.

Anyway, immediately upon learning the story is not necessarily true, I yanked it out of "Breaking News."

Fox was also covering it.

Tip Leads Liberty County To Search For Bodies

It was based on a psychic's tip. I wonder if this was some prank.

Frank, what is your point????

You regret posting the story or now do not believe it could ever happen????

We know that anything a human can conceive of can and will happen somewhere on Earth at some time .

Every thing from the paintings of what Valid the Impeller did, to the 1700 paintings of hanging or at the stake burning witches.  Our Art Museums have paintings of horror that we today cannot believe or want to believe these things ever took place.

We today try to separate ourself from our ancestors that created and did most horrid things in our mind today.  We try to pretend that we have mutated away from what was excepted behavior along time ago.

We have not changed, we can still accept the same horror today that happend years ago. In a different form.  We no longer place the heads of enemy's on pikes outside the town, however were it to be accepted Casey Anthony would never have lived long enough to get a trial.

We believe that we have become much more different from those in the past, but darn it all, we now find that no matter what people do, children in a pit, is still possible for us to believe.  Why Frank if we have progressed beyond the so called Savages of the past do we deny that under the correct circumstances we will not revert to mind set of the past.???

Religion came in here to control our nature, sometimes the religion caused even more suffering then before the faith.

The heat is not addling your brains Frank, you posted a strange story that was not impossible in human life, and millions of people that read this did not discount the story.

Frank, what is your point????

vesta madam, you know I love you, but my point was obvious.

I thought "Wow, I got this big story here, before anybody posted it."

Usually I'm behind everybody else; it's s-o-o-o-o-o rarely that I get a chance to be the first.

So I posted it, patting myself on the back for having gotten the scoop.

But oops, the story apparently turned out to be fake, and so red-faced, I yanked it from "Breaking News" and stashed it into "General Discussion."

No scoop for franksolich.

My point was about the story itself, not what was described in the story (in which case it's good news, great news, if it eventually pans out as a fake).
