"Walkerville" tent city grows in Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. - Sara Lam spent Saturday night sleeping in a tent outside the Capitol here.
A lot of the other people camping out in "Walkerville" that night were surprised that she was there among them. Lam is 30 weeks pregnant.
"To me it was not even a question," said Lam. "This (Gov. Walker's) budget is going to negatively impact the health and wellness of thousands of Wisconsinites. One night outside was not an issue."
You know an issue is dead when even DUmmies cannot muster the energy to support something even from their cheeto encrusted keyboards. There was only one thread on the "Walkerville*" protests in Madison, WI with 6 posts and 6 recs. I had to go to page 2 in order to find it. Sad. :loser:
*Walkerville is a reference to Hoovervilles which is a stretch because I did not know that the latter had good paying jobs with union benefits.

My Dear DUmmies, the real news are the Obamavilles that are popping up due to his ruination of the economy.

:lmao: :rotf:
Her dedication was palpable.

I'm not palpating that, no matter how much you pay me.

I know pregnant ladies who go camping all the time. Forgive me if I'm not filled with admiration.
We have a Roosevelttown up north. It's exactly how you'd picture it. Squalid, rundown, drenched in alcohol, littered with drugs.
-
I imagine most of the skanky young ladies who inhabit these tent cities are either pregnant, or about to be.

After Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday being in the 90's I think skank might need to be replaced with stank.

What township, Karin?
