Just gave up Chik-Fil-A forever
Should have done it a while ago. I always knew the owner was a right-wing, religious-zealot asshole but after hearing about the company giving money to organizations like Family Research Council (and then hearing him basically try to lie about it) there is no way I'm going to continue buying their food, as awesome as it is.
Really gonna miss that spicy chicken sandwich :(
First time I've taken a stance like this and hope to do more of it. Anyone else done some permanent boycotts?

Once the DUmmies are done boycotting I'm sure Chick Fila will go under. :rotf: :rotf:

4. Gawd, I did that 10 years ago---because they refuse to give up the styrofoam
I can not believe they STILL use styrofoam cups.

18. I don't eat Chik-Fil-A or Olive Garden ... and I check paper products
to make sure I'm not buying ANYTHING made by the evil Georgia-Pacific.
As far as Red Lobster, I ate there once about 20 years ago, and that was one time too many. Nasty stuff.
I'd hate to waste half my life making sure $1.99 didn't go to someone who I disagree with, like these goons do.
Even if they do business with a DU approved business, odds are one of their suppliers or vendors could be an evil right winger. For example I am sure Costco has plenty of Koch brothers paper products on the shelf. :rotf:

More spicy chicken and waffle fries for me.
-
Oh my gosh, STFU. Walk your lard ass over to McDonald's then. ::)
-
Good, now the lines won't be as long.
What a bunch of looooooooooooooooosers. :loser:
BTW, if a homerun is hit off the foul poles at Minute Maid Park here in Houston then every ticket holders gets a free chik-fil-a sandwich.
Yummy

I think Mikey D's is under boycott for one of them having Fox News on the tee vee one time.
-
Whoo Hoo! More Chik Fil A for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I try to have lunch there at least a few times a month.
-
Were there one anywhere near me, I'd be all over it. I remember that they had awesome chicken sandwiches.
-
I don't get how they can't see why their actions, or lack thereof in this case, could put their fellow man out of work. And not give 2 damns. I don't know how to start a post yet, but, the thread about the 3" sand lizard getting protected status, potentially putting thousands of oil industry workers out of work was appalling. Anyone that sided with human workers, over the damned lizard was ridiculed. It's the Delta Smelt that killed the San Joaquin Valley all over again. I know I am just not wired to think like them, but, jesus h christ on a pogo stick, they are thick.

They would gladly have everyone homeless and jobless just to win a political point.

Homeless and jobless = requiring government support, hence more D votes.
-
It could be said that there is another bright side to DUmmies boycotting Chik. Based on what I've read Chik-Fil-A is better for you (or at least less bad for you) than most of the other chicken joints.
-

Exactly, that is why the left has never done anything to help people get out of poverty, instead they throw them a few crumbs, keep them poor, and promise to hand out more goodies if they get reelected. Then blame the Republicans for their situation.
-
I love Chik-fil-a, we eat there frequently. Their employees are always extremely friendly.
-
:lmao:
MOLE ALERT MOLE ALERT MOLE ALERT!
Mike Gallagher did a show on this very subject yesterday, no way did the OP just pull this subject out of thin air, he had to be listening to the show.

Sounds like a street-cred post.
Look how great I am, I am making a difference. I am a good follower.
Orders Chik-fil-A within ten minutes, cause it's good.

Where the heck do these people eat and shop? this is just from that thread:
Just gave up Chik-Fil-A forever
Wal-Mart for the standard reasons
But I also personally boycott K-Mart because of the lousy way they treated me back in 1977.

25. Nope
It was, admittedly, years ago, but I've never forgotten how shabbily they treated me for writing an $8.50 check on a $3.50 purchase. K-Mart can do as it pleases, and I do not discourage anyone else from shopping there, but this one is personal to me.
You bounced a check?
Now back to the boycotts:
In reference to Kmart
Gawd, I did that 10 years ago---because they refuse to give up the styrofoam
I can not believe they STILL use styrofoam cups.
Dead Lobster & Olive Garden, Wal-Mart,
..I won't eat Idaho potatoes either...
Add Dell to the list.
Michael Dell has given tons of money to the right wing loons.
I check paper products
to make sure I'm not buying ANYTHING made by the evil Georgia-Pacific.
Johnsonville brats and Sargento cheese.
Haven't bought any since the WI situation started and I wrote both to tell them (not that they care).
:lmao:
Dominoes Pizza
Cracker Barrel restaurants...infamous for being anti-gay, firing gays,
refusing to hire gays.
Exxon/Mobil.
squal-mart since 2000 - toys-r-china since 1999
shell gas since 1984 - exxon - bp - marriott hotel - oreck - applebees - anyone who ever advertised on limpbag's program - charles schwab since we found out that they were big bush backers - UMB - Bank of America - Wells Fargo .... the list has grown exponentially over the years, but now it's rather fun to just add another to it
welcome to boycotting!
we vote with our dollars
:lmao:
Finally some sanity:

45. No boycotts for me. My experience is that the only one who feels -
- it is the little guy on the totem pole - the workers - and they end up getting hours cut or laid off. I'd prefer not to have a hand in someone losing their job especially since they're not easy to replace these day.
-
Not only are the Chik-Fil-A people a bunch of xtians, but their chickens aren't free-ranging. The chickens are kept in drab cages, without air conditioning, with no reading material, and they don't even have Netflix (they would absolutely love "Chicken Run"). Their entire short lives are devoid of feng shui. If there's radio service in the poultry barn, it's tuned to Limbaugh. Boycott now!
-
DUmmies lie, always, DUmmies lie.
DUmbass will be back at Chik-fil-a within two days.
Count on it.
Stupid lying DUmmies.

What the DUmmies don't get is that the so-called "styrofoam" cups aren't. They're made from corn products nowadays. Hello?? Biodegradable... :loser:

It turns out that rapidly biodegradable products are worse than their slower degrading counterparts.

I think that's a corollary to the democrat theorem that anything edible, or otherwise useful, is carcinogenic.

We're getting one in downtown Chicago this month. Yay!!!!

Oh my gosh, STFU. Walk your lard ass over to McDonald's then. ::)
The one in my town plays "Faux Noooz." :whatever: :rotf:
Never had Chik-Fil-A, but I may have to find one soon. And go eat ass for insulting Olive Garden, DUmmie. You don't deserve things like the Braised beef & Tortelinni. You're not a high enough class. You are what Indians would call one of the "Untouchables."
-
Never had Chik-Fil-A, but I may have to find one soon.
McD's "southern" chicken sandwich is sort of like Chik-Fil-A. I noticed they started selling waffle fries in the frozen food section at the grocery store. They're great with a steak or burger.
-

Olive Garden is good.
I think Carrabba's and Maggiano's are even better.
They're much better than the restaurants I've tried in Italy.
Everything's better in America, even Italian food.
-
Now I envy you for being in Italy.
Oh well, I still want to try some authentic Italiano.

If you try their nuggets, don't forget their special sauce. :-)
I'm serious, their sauce is the yum.

Olive Garden gives people the runs. I haven't figured out if it's the salad dressing or the bread sticks.

Yes, it is.
Hit that with their fries....damn, that's good.

He can overlook the right-wing-zealot that runs the company, but those Styrofoam cups are over the line. :lmao:
The hard plastic cups that everyone else serves are ten times worse in a landfill.

Do it,Thundley.
Resistance is futile. :lmao:

I've rarely had lunch at Chik-Fil-A because both of them near here are mobbed around lunchtime. They're swamped with customers.
I'm surprised people can have lunch there and get back to work on time.
A few times I've gone in at 1:30-2:00, and they're still very busy.
If every democrat in red state hell boycotted Chik-Fil-A, the place would still be crowded.
