My Mother In Law was just saved financially by the new Healthcare Law

She had been retired for over 18 years now and her old union medical policy had a $50,000 lifetime limit. I had told her not to worry about it since the new healthcare law had taken affect...Well the union notified her on May 15th that she had in fact hit the lifetime limit and they would not cover her as a supplemental to Medicare any longer. ( I called the union office and they confirmed and said that the plan was grandfathered and there was not much we could do about it. They suggested that we go to Medicare.gov and check out the supplemental and Part D plans there). This included all prescription drugs...she take a bunch, several of which are not generic yet. I checked on adding her to one of the Medicare Part D coverage plans...The cheapest one I could find had her putting out $4500 a year for her prescriptions in addition to $35 a month for the plan. This did not include Medigap insurance...that was going to be even more out of pocket...She is 83 years old.

Well today she received a letter from the union saying that they have been granted a waiver to the Affordable Health Care Law and they could only offer a 50,000 annual limit. I immediately called the union office and they said that yes there was no longer a lifetime limit (Due to the new law) but there was a yearly limit and that they were re-instating her immediately(it took her over 15 years to reach $50,000 so I am not worried that she will reach that in a year).
She has been worried sick that she could not afford to go to the Dentist, schedule a needed sinus surgery, and take all of her medications any longer. She is has had a great load taken off her mind.

Thank you Democrats and President Obama.

The whole post is confusing, however the DUmmy is claiming due to a waiver from Obamacare that she didn't lose her coverage.
This DUmmy just showed how damaging Obamacare is, without the waiver her Mother In Law would lose coverage.

And to his lamebrain, nasty, selfish, shortsighted, mean-spirited, UN-Christ-like, UN-American, UN-patriotic, and actually downright TREASONOUS. Just like he and the rest of his hard-hearted, small-minded, little republi-CON pointy-headed neanderthals are.

Keep spitting on the only man who has submitted a plan to save Medicare. You shortsighted idiots.

15. I agree completely. Let's hope this remains as only a first step

towards Medicare for All.

Great idea expand a plan that is about to die. Just where do they think the money is to pay for all this?

Not one DUmmy caught the part about the waiver.
I can't wrap my tiny brain around how getting a waiver from Obamacare allowing her to keep coverage is proof of how great it is.  :mental:

I was reading a LTE today and it is painfully apparent folk don't have a clue.  The author of this one explained if the resources did not come for from the state to help the poor then it would have to come from the taxpayer and this would increase taxes.  Yup.  They do not have clue one.  Where do they think the state gets its money?  Why Paddy O'bumbler's stash of course.  Just run off another batch of fiat money :yahoo: and party like it's 1984.

Well that sure makes me feel better about my 30% hike in premiums due to Obama HellCare.

Of the thousands of waivers, unions got upwards of 70%. Big supporters like AARP got them too. Oh and if you have one of the chief crooks (Reid and Pelosi) your state got a waiver or you got 20% of the latest waivers in one very small district.

Ain't it great how the donks took us from a nation of laws to a nation of men (third world) in less than five years. Reagan was correct that we are never more than one generation away from tyranny. Sadly, he was optimistic on the time line.

So basically what the idiot is saying the WAIVER from 0bamacare saved her. Had it not been for the union being to wiggle out of this massively expensive mistake mom would've lost her coverage. About the time I think they can't get any dumber! Sheesh!

I noticed the same thing. The waiver just SAVED his mother-in-law from Obamacare. This DUmpmonkey is actually praising Obama for not killing her.
