Senate rejects Ryan budget; vote puts GOP on the spot
Senate Democrats forced a vote Wednesday on the controversial fiscal plan drafted by House Budget chief Paul Ryan, splitting the Republican caucus and forcing several vulnerable GOP senators who are up for re-election to go on the record supporting or opposing sweeping changes to the nation’s Medicare system.
The vote on the measure – which failed as expected -- came on the heels of a decisive Democratic victory Tuesday night in a New York special election that focused heavily on the proposed Medicare changes.
Moderate Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine were joined by Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska in breaking with Republican leaders to oppose the Ryan plan.
Snowe and Brown are up for re-election in 2012.

Is it any shock that Snowe and Collins voted against it?
Scott Brown turned out to be a RINO and Murkowsk is probably still bitter about losing her primary.
Even if by some miracle it had cleared the Senate, Obama would have vetoed it faster than he could dis Israel.

Feel free to submit your own plan, DUmbasses.
Show us on paper what Ewe-topia looks like and how much it will cost.

You have a spelling error there -- its You-Topia - because thats what is all about -Your government bringing to you things you need because you aren't smart enough to do it yourself.
Its not up to the primitives to decide - that's Obama's job.

That would require a defined sense of self.

That's the thing, Ryan is the only one so far who has a plan for trying to get us out of this mess while allowing those on medicare right now to keep what they have. All the democrats want to do is, spend money and hope the problem solves it self.

This must be one of the 'protected class' sheep. Obama hasn't fleeced him....yet.

Typical DUMbasses...
...open mouth, insert head in ass:
No senators voted for President Obama's 2012 budget when it came up for a vote in the Senate Wednesday.
A procedural vote to move forward on the president's plan failed 0-97.
Just minutes earlier, the Senate failed to advance Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-Wis.) budget plan by a vote of 40-57, a vote on which five Republicans voted against their party.
