IF the Democrats turn their backs on Labor

are they still Democrats?

I mean--Labor has always been the backbone of this party. Without a backbone, you can't stand up for anything.

Backbone my ass.  :whatever:

I suspect Ms. Ed, the unappellated eohippus, is now supplementing her income by getting $20 or something for each comment supporting unions that she makes, much like she was apparently getting some bucks from the Planned Parenthoodlums for her comments enthusiastic about abortion.

It's a nice living, posting for pay, but one has to know the right places.

I just bring this over for the obnoxious use of quotation marks.  You know people who use quote marks in the air when speaking?  I hate that.

1. No, they are Not Dems as defined in the
Democratic Wing of the Dem Party. They are nothing more than corporate shills. Period.
Just because one chooses a party to associate with does Not mean they Always meet those standards. Dems are not immune to the "asshole syndrome".
I suspect this is also realized by many in the general electorate along with unions as the "questionable Dems" are identified and "put on notice" that we are all watching their Votes. Vote watching is fun, it's where the "rubber hits the road" over empty "words" and surely "cuts the pretenders" out of the herd.
I detect no pattern in the use of capitalization.

Is Horse With No Brain just using the word 'labor' in place of the word 'unions'?

(Sorry for use of the quotation marks, Karin.  Seemed appropriate in this case.)

This whole thing smells worse than the gigantic primitive's apartment.

I've known Ms. Ed, the High Priestess of Moloch to the primitives, about as long as I've known Doug's stupid ex-wife, which is to say I've known her for a very long time now.

If memory serves me correctly, I've never known the unappellated eohippus to talk about labor unions.

Why now?

It's as if franksolich were to suddenly talk about the circus.  franksolich is indifferent about the circus, doesn't care at all about the circus.....and so if franksolich were to suddenly, out of the blue, start talking about the circus, that should be a clue that there's a rat in it somewhere.

Ditto for Ms. Ed; she's no OmahaSteve.

This is highly peculiar.

It reminds one of the time the unappellated eohippus, who before had never expressed the least slight interest in Cuba, suddenly original-posted a story about economics in Fidel's paradise.  It was suspect for two reasons: that Ms. Ed had never discussed Cuba before, and that the economics of it all was w-a-a-a-y too complicated for the nonmonickered equine to possibly understand.

And then what followed; all these newbie primitives--not a bona fide primitive in the bunch--who responded to Ms. Ed on that thread, expanding upon her original post.

Probably Raul and Enrique from the unofficial Cuban mission in Washington, D.C., had paid Ms. Ed twenty bucks or something, to put that up there for them; it needs noted additionally that the unappellated eohippus never once posted anything about Cuba after that one time.

Ms. Ed's natural milieu is bouncies and paeans in praise of abortion, not Cuba or labor.

What ticks me off about this is that OmahaSteve posts on labor and unions a great deal, for free, and if the unions are paying people to post, they really need to send my fellow Nebraskan a big check.

You got that right, Ralph.

Based on my experience in construction management and on site technical advisor, Unions do not like associating with labor that isn't union. The unions usually want to crack their skulls.

Maybe Horse with no Brain is just shoring up her DUmp cred, bolstering her socialist bona fides. She's gearing up for a title run later this year, and needs to attack on a broad front.

She's opened the "daughter" avenue for future bouncies, and she's introduced the "old farmhouse" storyline. When you add that to her love for infanticide, and now the labor angle, you can see the potential for a powerful Top DUmmy campaign.

Geez . . . one would almost suspect you of being her "campaign manager!"

Well, our esteemed colleague GOBUCKS did good for Pam, back in late 2009, getting her selected.

Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Well, now, I don't think I had much to do with Pam's selection as the Top DUmmy of 2009. I only assisted, in a very small way, in helping people to be aware of her qualifications. One only need revisit the thread announcing her ascension to realize she was a worthy successor to the incomparable DUmmy TomInTib: http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,38484.0.html

I think Horse with no Brain is putting herself in position for a serious run at the title, but she's not without baggage. Many decent and civilized people will be reluctant to cast a vote for someone so evil and irredeemable, a truly hateful, despicable person, a member of coach's lowest caste, the drek primitives. But last year's Top DUmmy overcame that obstacle, so it could happen.
