12 years ago, I was a project manager for a Y2K company
One of the places I went to often was in Anaheim, CA, I had about 40 contractors there working for Colonial Insurance. I came down one morning on my way into work and was stopped by the hotel manager. He knew me because we always had a lot of guys there and the bill was always on my card. He pulled me aside and told me that one of my guys had come out of his bathroom naked and tried to grab the maid, fortunately, she got out before he did. Without hesitation, I told him he should call the police and press charges. He told me they had decided they were not going to do that but they did not want the guy to stay or ever come back. I told him that would not be a problem, close out the room, he would not be back. I went to work, found the guy, escorted him out and told him he was fired. I brought him back to the hotel and made him wait outside while I went in for his bags. I gave them to him and told him to **** off. I also canceled his return flight.
I never did even try to find out if what I did was legal, I did not then and do not now care.
I have no idea what happened to the guy and I don't care.
I did meet with the maid and gave her my apologies.
I assured my entire crew that if anything like that ever happened again that I would see to it that they were prosecuted. Fortunately, it never did happen again.

His last job. And it was a scam.
Surprised he isn't working in "clean energy".

It's a good thing Ohio Joe's outfit wasn't a union place.

They want to give Osama a "fair trial" (before cowboy Obama personally shot him in the face) but this guy was guilty without his "boss" even speaking to him or his accuser first.
...and this DUer is a liar.

6. It was simple
I decided that this woman had no reason to lie, she wanted nothing more then for the guy to not have another chance to harm her while she worked. That was good enough for me.
What about due process? I mean you goons want suicide bombers caught in the act to get Miranda rights, lawyers, and trials, so what gave you the right to convict and sentence this guy?

17. Come to find out the maid gave the manager the wrong room number. nt
I love that user name. Reminds me of our old buddy Boogersnax. :lmao:
Assuming this isn't a bouncy, he should have sent the guy home, and put him on suspension until he could determine what really happened.

Absolutely!
I decided that this woman had no reason to lie,
You decided? Based on what? Would this stand up in a court of law, had the guy sued you?
He told me they had decided they were not going to do that
(press charges). I would want to know more about this, for example. Why not? Was a police report filed? Why not?
There is a reason that sexual harassment issues have strict, specific procedures in company policy books. You want to make the cases that are real, stick, and you want bogus cases to not irreparably harm a falsely accused person.
