We have more then enough retreads in this election, time for some fresh blood. IMO.

Couldn't agree more strongly.

+1.

Yeah, his stance on Skuzzyfavabean was truly demonstrative, not to mention his being in bed with the ethanol lobby.
-
He announced that he's officially seeking the nomination.
Geez. Just what we need.
-
Well, he does have some good ideas and is a very polished speaker. But he is completely unelectable.
-
I think he is in the race for the same reason some of the other retreads are...exposure. If their name is not out there no one will want to pay to hear what they have to say after this election cycle is over.
-
Despite his high intelligence, he has badly overplayed his hand throughout the last 15 years, because his arrogance lets him believe he is smarter than he really is. Smart guy, some good ideas (And some bad ones), but his judgment and timing have consistently sucked.

If the RNC would just put up a real conservative and ask for $$!! I'm ready. But Newt ain't it!

Newt - for me - comes closer than many of the RNC Leadership favorites on the conservative scale, but as primary elections in the US aren't hashed out with horseshoes, hand grenades, or tactical nuclear weapons, close still has an awful gulf in between it and "acceptable".
Just my $0.02. Feel free to keep the change.

I wont send them a dime until they figure out we need a conservative
