I guess fish don't count
do experiments on fish. I've killed tens of thousands of embryos, but, you know, I take care to minimize pain, and do it for a purpose that can't be achieved any other way; I also have to answer to committees that enforce ethical conduct in animal care and use.
No such rules apply if you are a Christian priest.
Well, yesterday's sermon was a big hit! We had a mass execution of 200 feeder fish that I pulled out of a fish tank and then threw all over the floor. The kids were in shock and then started to pic them up and put them back into the fish tank. Obviously, most of them died in the effort…the point however was made that they cared ore about .15 cent feeder fish then they do about their friends dying w/o Christ.
Damned straight. I certainly hope more people care about living creatures than they do about what weird religious sect their friends have adopted.
I am also not surprised that kids are shocked to discover their priest has such a callous disregard for life — I hope it was the first step in freeing some of their minds from the embrace of the Christian death cult.

And Jesus brought about the miraculous catch of fish, fed the 5000 with fish and fed his disciples fish after his resurrection. Obviously Jesus hates fish.

Pointless stunt because the kids will more than likely be turned off by what they perceive as in-your-face cruelty than abstract notions of damnation.

So let's see. I can be a member of the "Christian death cult" that has killed some feeder fish OR I can be a member of the liberal death cult that's executed millions of unborn babies. I think I'll stick with the "Christian death cult".

I don't know if that's really a fair comparison.
You can use a feeder fish or bait minnow to catch edible fish. About all you could catch from the DUmp is STDs or staph infections.

I guess the Facebook pages for the church and pastor were removed from public view due to extremely vulgar, vitriolic attacks. I can't imagine the emails the church is currently getting via their website. Tell me, who are the hateful ones again?

I'll admit that I don't agree with the pastor's tactics, and like Mr. Snug's said, it is likely that the kids will remember the "poor fishies" more than any theological point, but I'm not about to write off a nasty e-mail.

Feeder fish is the generic name for certain types of inexpensive fish commonly fed as live prey to captive animals such as sharks, turtles and some other...
In other words, they're like the minnows you toss in the beta tank for sport.

I know, but a couple possible reasons for what he was wearing:
1. Due to PETA members' general stupidity and ignorance, they were unaware that a suit is not what one would normally wear while cleaning fish.
2. They were trying to portray him as what ultra- liberal morons consider to be evil incarnate: A white businessman!
The comic/ tract itself is completely repulsive, even for the vermin at PETA who every day seem to find a new low to stoop to. In it, fathers who go fishing are compared to child abductors. It ends by saying (No joke) "You have to make your daddy throw out all his fishing gear and promise to never go fishing again! If he won't do that, you'd better keep your pet dogs and cats away from him, you never know when he might want to kill them next!"

I don't kill fish. I throw their asses on a ton of ice and let them kill themselves. :coffee:
