I suspect DUmmy Bicoastal is either nearly as DUmb as poor, stupid Beth, or a mole:

Do you think we'll ever elect a president with no political or military experience?
It seems pretty unlikely to me. People always claim to want someone "outside the system," but the best Presidents have changed or beaten the system by knowing something of how the machinery works. And despite the fact that ragging on politicians is something of an American tradition, we're also vaguely aware that the job of President is almost impossibly difficult and fatiguing and not for the uninitiated.
Anyway, we've had 38 elected officials in the White House, as well 3 high-ranking Generals (Taylor, Grant, and Eisenhower) and 2 Cabinet Secretaries (Taft and Hoover). To me, it seems pretty unlikely that the likes of Donald Trump or Herman Cain (or Ross Perot or Ralph Nader or Rev. Al Sharpton, for that matter) could ever become part of that list, simply because Americans don't want to see their President learning how to play the game as they go along.
But what do you guys think?

You would think the DUmp would erupt with indignant shouts. The very thought of someone being so disrespectful of the jug-eared muslim community organizere is outrageous.
But onlyl one DUmmy seems to catch on:

2. Who knows.
Did you ever think we'd have a Muslim Kenyan as a president?
And then that stupid sarcasm thing. But only a DUmmy would call that sarcasm.

Actually, I suspect this might explain the current popularity of Donald Trump and Ron Paul; as no conservative Republican with sterling credentials has yet emerged from the current pack of possibilities (disclosure: franksolich is supporting John Boehner, but as usual franksolich's first choice probably won't get it).
People want a conservative Republican candidate, but there's not one around right now.
(Please notice the all-important phrase, "right now.")
And since there's not one around right now, people are desperately flailing around for someone totally unlike the current president, in this case unconventionals such as Trump or Paul.
Despite his sordid tawdry personal life and character, if Donald Trump were the only viable alternative to the Big Zero, I'd vote for Trump in half a second. Anybody's better than what we have now.
(Note to Rebel: I know Herman Cain is your candidate, and of course his qualifications and character are sterling, his record impeccable, but he has yet to come on strongly. If Cain can pull out ahead of all of these Wendell Willkies, I'm on the bandwagon, beating the drum and blowing the horn for him. But it hasn't happened yet.....but of course there's still plenty of time.)

Coach, check out my response in the thread about Cain in the Election 2012 forum.

I think the DUmmies are finally realizing that they voted for an idiot..... :-)...it would be funny if it wasn't ruining the USA.
