And yet they spent $1092.00 each for library chairs (http://www.maggiesnotebook.com/2011/04/detroit-library-chairs-cost-1092-each/) and $1100.00 each for garbage cans (http://detnews.com/article/20110428/METRO01/104280379/1006/rss01) .

This is the Detroit Teacher's union website-
http://mi.aft.org/dft231/ (http://mi.aft.org/dft231/)
I figured they had one so I went and had a look.
I assumed perhaps I would see evidence of their pride in their profession. Maybe some accomplishments showcased, etc.
Nope.
It's all about protecting their interests. Their bennies and retirements and such.
Nothing at all about the kids. Zippo, nada.

There is absolutely NO excuse for these numbers. It's obvious the parent's NOR the teacher's care enough.
-
This is what 50 years under the exclusive rule of Dhimmi'Rats will do to anyplace. The smart ones leave, and the rest, well...

I think it is pretty obvious, they can't read so don't even know. If they could read they would have left too. Publik edukation has done did its job. :lmao:

I'm surprised that more than half of them can read, given Detroit's standards of governance.
-
That is so sad. I can't imagine not being able to read.
How can they, the educators, live with knowing what they've done?

What they've done is to ensure their union longevity and tenure, so the "educators" are doing just fine. The kids are necessary evils in their goals and don't matter at all.

Why bother? There's a 50/50 chance they couldn't read it even if it were there.

Sing-a-long if you know the words:
Look for the union label

"Spent"?
Good sir, how can it be spent when it went right back to the pols that signed the contracts and their in-laws who own the companies?

Idiocracy.
That movie. Great movie. Watching it is like watching a documentary.

As opposed to a steaming pile of celluloid propaganda produced by Mikey Moore, masquerading as a documentary? :fuelfire:
