I did feel a great foreboding that the people were turning to their 'worst angels'.

There were many, many people who felt like if we said one stinking word about GWB, or the bs jingoistic crap we were forced to listen to, that we would be verbally crucified with that "you hate America" garbage. We couldn't even order freaking french fries.
You cannot, and do not, speak for the "vast majority."

I think with some they are deliberatly over the top because it makes them feel powerful somehow.
Some actually believe they are relevant and think the public is hanging on their thoughts,hence the frequent nature of them bumping their own threads.

I did a BNN article about a CIA operative that came to regret waterboarding AQ terrorists because the intel staved off a major attack on Los Angeles and then LA went on to bury Michael Jackson in a gold coffin. He didn't think LA was worth the moral cost of his soul.

I know they don't want to believe in God so that whatever disgusting, treacherous acts they commit, they won't have to answer for. (At least in their minds.
