The mummified remains of the actress who played the femme fatale in Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman has been found in her rundown Beverly Hills home.
The state of the body indicates Yvette Vickers, 82, who was once a Playboy centrefold may have lain there for a year. The badly decomposed corpse was discovered at the Californian home where Vickers had lived for decades.
For the actress whose film credits include Attack Of The Giant Leeches, the story of her final moments reads like a grisly plot from one of those films. ...

Oh how awful.
-
Looks like she went beyond B movies right into real life. Here are a couple of her more recent flicks:
"Attack of the Lonely Mummy"
"Dying Alone -- Yes, You Can"
"Fan Mail and Playboy -- It's Been Quite a Ride"
"Turn the Light Out Before You Go"

Dead almost a year, and the neighbour JUST noticed the mail wasn't picked up and was yellow around the edges?
Who was paying the utilities to the house? No way would a utility company leave them on for more than 2 months with no money paid on the account...the utility companies around here sure wouldn't be left on, they zap them once they are 33 days past due, if not sooner.
So sad that no one noticed she hadn't been seen.... :(

I guess she was paying by direct debit and her account had plenty of money in it. Of course she wouldn't have been using much energy unless the heating or air con was on when she died.

Yeah. I didn't think about that, because I don't pay utilities that way. But still, the meter reader goes to the house once a month, I would think he/she would have noticed something was up. At the very least, the way things are so overgrown, they would have griped about access to the meters. And if things were so overgrown, how come the city didn't investigate...they do around here.
Something about this just doesn't set right. If the body was next to a small heater, wouldn't it have smelled pretty awful at some point?

You guys are no fun. :bawl:
I'm trying to put some puns to this, and you're all analyzing this thing like Fox News analyzed bin Laden's takedown. :rotf:
-
Obviously "mum" was the word around the neighborhood.....

We need some analysis, this is a strange story it reads like a tall tale.

Much better! Thank you! :blowkiss:

I don't know about a tall tale, but it surely features a dry story line.
Desiccated might be more accurate.....

After reading this you have to wonder how many Playboy Playmates have had a bad end to their lives. There have been more then a few that is for sure.
-
What a sad wrap to her career.
-
all wrapped up and no one to see....
-
There are a pyramid of problems with this story. First, she's an ex-bunny. That gets right into issues with Ptarmy. Second, she's a B movie starlet has-been or never-was. And third, her neighbors were all buried in themselves.

Shame the article had to mention 'Attack of the Giant Leeches', I heard that movie sucked.

Yeah, but that was before she did "Attack of the 50 ft. Woman," which was gargantuan. Her career zoomed up to the treetops after that one, though there was a bunch of breast-beating after her Playboy spread.
