Many people idolize Gandhi as someone who is non-violent and inclusive or was he?
The popular image of Gandhi is a myth. This site is dedicated to factually refuting that myth and publicizing the reality. Gandhi was deeply prejudiced against all minorities, from black Africans to low-caste Hindus. He also demonstrated a shocking lack of morality, from sleeping naked with young girls to employing nonviolence merely as a tool of political expedience.
Gandhi was a racist and hated Blacks and Jews. He even wrote a letter to Adolf Hitler and promoted segregation.

Gandhi was an opportunist, but even saints have feet of clay.
He frankly admitted that his non-violent protest worked against the decent and civilized British, but wouldn't have worked against brutal non-western societies; that the Japanese for example would have killed him with no thought or remorse.
It was sort of like the Bostonian Drunkard's "speaking truth to power" nonsense during the Bush administration; with some opponents, if decent and civilized, there are no consequences to shooting off one's mouth, and so it takes no courage.

You are right. He is one. Even he knew that Muslims and Hindus could not live side by side. I never understood why people idolize him.

Gandhi was no ideologue.
