He left two really gross stains on the road.
-
Holy smokes! Sucks to be him! If that guy were my neighbor I would be moving to the other side of town.
What? Go fishing? Oh man, sorry but I have to work...
Golf? Already have plans, too bad...
-
Ouch!!! :o :o :o

I think those are scorch marks. Too spontaneous to be piddle puddles.

I LOL'd at the title, and then felt sorry for him. Reminds me of the landscaper down in Miami that was killed by arc lightning, on a sunny day, from a cloud about 10 miles away. God has to REALLY want you dead.

Is this for real, I question as he kept his legs out and did not curl into a fetal position to protect his body the first time or the second time.

You should hit him up and tell him how you experienced people do it.

Vesta. Stop ****ing posting. Humanity will be better off for it. We'll all be smarter if we don't read your posts.
Consider this a friendly intervention.

Vesta may have a point about this being fake, but not about the victims reaction. Most likely the camera is digital, and every camera I've seen would be overloaded by the lightning flash and would take a little time to recover.
-
No, not really. Having been shocked before, you can't "protect" yourself from something like that.
So whether fake or not, it's not like you can get ready for it cause it happens so damn fast.
-
Looks pretty fake to me and not done very well. Use can use the scroller to freeze the image at the moment of the alleged first strike and there is absolutely no change in the shadows of the vehicles and trees. It's pretty obvious that all they did was draw the bolts in and brighten the image.

Lightning travels faster than than 3,000 miles per second and it moves from the ground, up.
How the **** would you know/have time to protect yourself and how could you protect yourself if the electricity travels through the entire body?
Why am i even bothering?

Looks pretty real to me. Pause it at 0:27 seconds (this takes skill because, as MSB says, it's going 3K MPS). The entire scene is lit up.

Indeed. Why?

That's because they brightened the frame a lot, to the point of washing it out. Look at the shadows. They don't change one bit. Lightning is uber-bright. When the fake lightning "hits" the guy the first time, he's standing near the front of the first vehicle. Note that vehicle's shadow. It does not vanish or even dim. If you create a shadow with one light and then shine an even more powerful light on the shadow, it will be affected in some way. If that's not enough, look at the second vehicle. Absolutely no shadow is cast by it along the line from the fake bolt.

Even better, compare this screenshot from the video:

To what I just did in a few seconds (sans lightning bolt and grainy effect):
