So...who ELSE thinks the Royal Wedding thing makes an even better case for abolishing monarchy?

In the UK, obviously, but, everywhere else as well.

Isn't this really a sign that we're WAAAAAAYYYYY the hell past the time when the world still needs kings 'n queens 'n stuff?

Hell our president and his queen live like royalty and the DUmp is fine with that.

68. Yeah, and it only cost 400 thou

But of course these pampered purebreds earn their money the hard way... sucking an extravagant living off the public teat.

Yet when Americans suck off the public teat, you want to give them even more.

Uh huh.

I still remember that famous news headline about one of the Big Zero's and Shelley-0's cruises, "Not since the days of the ancient pharaohs...."

Yeah, nothing works like replacing the clear arbitrary decisions of one individual with the vague arbitrary decisions of an unaccountable committee.

 :lmao:

What the British choose to do with their country is theirs alone to decide.

Indeed it is, and they seem to be doing just fine with the system they have.  Aside from their insane nanny-state laws, which are entirely due to the hi-jinx of Labour in the Commons and inbreeding combined with the benefits of a Left-wing education in Lords, neither one the fault of the Royalty.
