Is Scorched Earth the GOP's Strategy in Retreat?

Sometimes, I have to wonder if that isn't the case. With no Republican of any character at all coming forward as a Presidential candidate and Republican legislators seeming to be trying to pass bills that would be devastating in their effects, I'm thinking that may be their plan. If they truly believe they're going to lose big in 2012, maybe they're doing their damnedest to leave nothing standing.

1. Yes. Yes it is.

"If I can't have you NO ONE CAN!!!!"

So, if I'm reading this right, the GOP is as big into centralized statism as the democrats but because they electorate will choose Brand Y over Brand X the Brand X'ers are going to burn down the store?

4. Some elements of the American Public are finally seeing their relationship with the GOP as it is

That is, the relationship between the abused and abuser. And they're not the abuser

My dad, who is a lifelong Republican Pro-Fascist Pro-Police State type always said he was a Republican and a Conservative because, and I quote "I am not a victim"

Well dad, I love ya, but you are too a victim

Worse yet, you're reminding me of the "He only beats me cause he loves me" defense...

The GOP: the choice of small-government, decentralized, market-based--er--fascism.

11. Reptiles only see what is directly in front of them. They are only interested in their next meal.

Consequences are irrelevant to the Republicans and Corporate Executives.

14. They Think They CAN'T Lose

They own the media, they own the churches, and they own the courts.
They own most of the statehouses, so they will be able to gerrymander themselves even more seats in Congress.
They have killed off the hope that Obama was running on by being the party of "NO".
They have unlimited corporate money. We were outspent by a huge margin in 2010, and it will be far worse next year.

They are abandoning any pretense of decency because they think they are invincible.

Can we prove them wrong? I sure hope so.

Wow. We've done all that.

But we're losing.

17. I liken it to legislative treason.

If Al Qaeda were a bunch of old white guys in business suits, how would their agenda to destroy this country be any different?

Well...

...9/11 took over 10 years to plan and execute. It cost the US $1 trillion.

Bush's response to 9/11 was a global war that was costing an extra $1 trillion every 10 years.

Since taking office Obama has spent over $1.5 trillion every single year with no tangible results.

You be the judge.

Now if you'd added 'Stoned' to that, I would've thought they had the GOP mixed up with their mamas.
