Good news. Obama says Justice Dep't will check to see if there is price gouging by oil companies. Updated at 6:55 PM

It seems he is working hard to win back the confidence and votes of those on
the left he has alienated. Now that he is running for his second term, he
seems to be not only talking tougher, but also acting it.

5. You wouldn't be laughing if we had to pay close to $6/gal like Updated at 6:55 PM
they do in Germany. But then, all Germans enjoy benefits like coverage for
health insurance, job-loss insurance, etc. Also their income taxes are
higher than ours. Of course, they do get back a lot for what they pay out.
Also, they have the feeling of secuirty. How much is that feeling worth to you?
I can't wait for higher taxes and higher gas prices. :whatever:

Anyone up for a wager? My money says that his buddies at Goldman Sachs will be cleared of any improprieties in oil speculation. Anyone want to short Goldman?

You got something on your chin there.

Reminds me of all the whining and much gnashing of teeth emanating from the left when gas prices shot up a few years ago.
"Just wait until we shitcan Bush and get a democrat in the White House, this sort of thing won't happen then"!!!

The same can be said about Canada. I feel secure about my health care but that's about it. I know I don't have much of this "feeling of security" when it comes to the government. But I'd feel the same about any government, I'd rather not need them to feel secure.
-
SO, they are trying this shit, AGAIN.
$100 bucks says they will arrive at the same conclusion they reached all the other times ConRegress/any government agency "investigated" so called "price gouging".
NOTHING!

Anytime the gummint is involved I do not feel secure no matter what it is. With a stroke of a pen they can giveth and they can taketh away.

This is for you, Compaq. I hope you enjoy it. :-)

It's as much of an act as a Stalin show trial, but far more poorly run, since they aren't going to have any confessions or be able to come up with anyone guilty except perhaps for the odd convenience store owner or two.

You are talking about the tank on your weed eater, right?
-

You obviously haven't spent much time in Europe.
-
Wanna check for 'price gouging' Mr Holder? Look no further than the fed govt.
The biggest frauds are right in this administration.
-
Hey, I think I've found the gougers!!!!
http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxdata/show/26079.html
Look at the 10 highest states. How many of them voted for Obumbles in 2008? Oh, and notice that doesn't include the federal gas taxes. And on top of that, seven states ALSO charge sales taxes on top of fuel taxes. Of those seven states, only one voted Republican in 2008 (GA).

"Talking" and "Acting" being the operative words in that sentence. The latter not in the sense the DUmmorrhoid meant it, though.
-
And when there isn't any gouging found then what will Obama H. Coyote, Super-Genius, do next?

Dunno but I can tell you what he won't do. He won't allow the drilling companies to drill.

His DOJ will plant the evidence to be found.
