Before you protect your computer with Symantec products, consider
It's partnership with China's Huawei. And consider Huawei's founder's close ties to the PLA.

Huawei is a Chinese company that has been trying to buy its way
into the US telecommunications infrastructure for years. It has bid to provide
equipment for Sprint's 4G network, to buy Lucent/Alcatel and to buy 3Com.
Now it is negotiating with state and federal agencies to build US Cellular's 4G network.

It has purchased patents owned by a US company, 3Leaf. The Feds may force 3Leaf to rescind the deal.

Like most dominant Chinese Corporations, Huawei is intertwined with the Chinese
Communist Party and the PLA. It has been engaged in blatant industrial espionage against
Numerous companies. CISCO sued it for stealing its router technology. Huawei settled.

Bankrolled by the CCP, its growth worldwide has been dramatic.  But the US, UK, India and Indonesia have raised security concerns due to Huawei's close ties to the PLA.

Sprint is already using Huawei products in it's 4G network.  It has been for over a year.
