Title: Hey Donald, Show us your draft card!
Post by: Freeper on April 23, 2011, 06:03:14 PM
Wht the hate for Donald Trump at DU?
Don't they realize he too wants a huge tax on the rich, single payer healthcare, and thought Bush was the devil?
Now he's playing a conservative on teevee. He could be what gets Barry a second term, if he runs as an independent and fools enough conservatives to vote for him.

Now that I've pissed off the Trump fans here on to the DU thread   :-),

In 1964, at the age of 18, Trump would have been required to register with the Selective Service at his draft board.

Did he? What was his classification? Did he receive a deferment?

In 1968, when Trump left college at the age of 22, he would have been ripe for the draft unless there was a deferment for real estate executives.

Trump has bragged about going to military school and being a star athlete but he was also a no-show at military enlistment offices.

So in the spirit of asking for birth certificates (has anyone seen Trump's), let's see Trump's draft card and deferment records.

And perhaps he can explain how he managed to avoid the draft - especially after graduating from college in 1968.

Maybe he was with Clinton protesting the war overseas.

9. He is currently.

He serves as CinC and previously served in the US Senate and Illinois legislature.

Not all service requires a uniform.

Service implies that one does something for others, and/ or our country.
Obama has done nothing but take from our country.

neither he nor Clinton positioned himself as a right wing blowhard like Trump.

So left wing blowhards are exempt.

10. Yes,

He was Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces for 8 years.

That is like saying a General who was a tanker is also a pilot because he commands an aviation brigade on his post.  :mental:

I really don't understand what they would be worried about. When is the last time the voters of this country elected a Democrat turned Republican, divorced TV entertainer to the White House? Never happen. Can't be done. Nothing to worry about.

Hahahaha at you Ronald Donald.

Did Reagan ever change his views, or did he just change the letter by his name?
I could be mistaken, but I'm fairly sure he always was a conservative, the democrats went to the left.

I don't believe that Trump is all of a sudden a conservative. Maybe if it was a change on one or 2 things then I may buy it, but when you go from Bush is the devil (not saying that conservatives had to love him, just anyone who thinks he was the devil raises concerns), the rich should be taxed highly, and we need single payer, to being a conservative I have my doubts.

The only real Trump fans are in the media, because he gives great interviews.
He's our Jesse Ventura.

Blog:

Served 'n Didn't Serve
A lot of you old timers mite remember the days when the United States had a DRAFT to fill the ranks of the armed services in times of war . During the last conflict (in SeAsia) prior the institution of the All Volunteer Service (1976), the sometimes politically motivated and bribe-corruptable members of local Selective Service Boards gave draft eligible young men preferential treatments with a whole host of deferments (some legitimate, others not) as a way to avoid induction.

Then on 1 Dec 69, the U.S began a new method of drafting young men to fight the war in Vietnam, by having a lottery for men born prior to 1951 (extending back to 1945) and each subsequent year there after a similiar lottery took place.

Typically, the lottery worked out to mean that anyone whe drew numbers between 1-121 would likely be drafted; those form 121-182 could possibly be drafted; those from 183-242 would less likely to be drafted; and those from 243-366 would not be drafted. From those lotteries, here is a partial list of notable ppl, celebs, politicians, and influential individuals and where they stood in THE DRAFT Lotteries:

* Donald Trump, #356 - Eligible but with high number

Interesting.  I always wondered how the draft worked, but its not the kind of thing they taught in high school history classes.

My father enlisted in 1967 and spent a year in Vietnam.

* Tom Berenger: did not serve. Entered draft but received #313

Funny.  The guy spent half his career acting in war movies.

As I recall, Ventura got elected too.

In a pure moonbat state, which also elected the thankfully dead Wellstone (Kootch of the Senate), and the ludicrous comic Franken.
For a while, Jesse was just an embarrassing blowhard, now he's a troofer. Anything to get on TV.

Ya got that right.
Say, isn't that where Michelle Bachmann is from too?
Guess you've proved your point.

Yeah, cuz Michelle Bachman and The Body have so much in common.  Say, when was the last time Michelle Bachman showed up on Coast to Coast AM or pimped some Alex Jones troofer site on Facebook?

Guess you aren't aware that Michelle Bachmann has never carried the state of Minnesota, nor has she tried.
She's an excellent conservative congresswoman. She runs in a conservative congressional district north of Minneapolis.
She probably couldn't carry a state full of traitorous moonbats, and probably wouldn't want to.
But who knows? The jug-eared muslim is helping her win more hearts and minds every day.

I do ope that those that are pulling the "Wherew is your Draft Card" crap realize that a lo of people thatwere drafted NEVER went to Vietnam or anywhere near it. However I know of one current Democrat or two that served or claimed they served in Vietnam that are just as big of an embarrassment as The Donald.  John F'n "I served in Vietnam" Kerry and Tom "I Lied about my service in vietnam to get elected" Harkin.

As pointed out above, if one knows Trump's birthday, one can find out his draft number, and then find out that his number was outside of the range for Viet Nam draftees.

Does anyone even know what Trump's ideas on national security are?  Their whole "draft card" argument falls apart if he's not hawkish. Not all Republicans are.

Of course, you'd never get the dumbasses to realize that. Not once they "go full retard" on a subject.

I haven't read every post in this thread, but.......... Has anyone asked to see BHO's draft card? Or, has anyone ever known a doctor, nurse, administrator, or, for that matter, the damn janitor, that ever saw BHO's delivery in a Hawaiian hospital? Any Columbia prof's recognize his name from one of their classes?

Has he no draft card, because at the age of 18, when required by law to register, he was a foreign exchange student, receiving funds as such, yet not required to register?

So, he either was born in the US, but illegally failed to register for the draft, or, he is a foreigner, and was not, by law, required to register, but, also by law, is denied the ability to be POTUS.

So.................
which is it Barry ??
