The following is a video making the rounds this afternoon on the innertubz...

My questions are as follows:
1) Is this real? I've watched it a few times now, and although my initial reaction was that it was staged, my pathetic attempts at research and follow-up lead me to belive it is, indeed real.
2) It it IS real, then am I the only one who thinks the cops completely ****ed over more than a few few civil rights here????
-
It could have been real until the creep knew he was on camera. Then he might have tried to be an actor. In any case, don't **** around with a cop.
The crowd did the same thing - they knew they were on camera, so they put on a show.
My opinion.

Yeah, but why did the cop get out of the car and start breakin balls?
-
Yeah, but why did the cop get out of the car and start the pedestrian's balls?
"Start his balls."
I have no idea of what that means.

Fixed it. Sorry, man.

I suspected that's what you meant. I didn't see that, though.

Agreed. The idiot with the camera announced that he had one several times. That had the end effect of lots of rats coming out of rat holes.
The loudmouth said something to piss off the cop, and then when the cop tried to get the punk to identify himself and the punk gave him a hard time about it, even with all that, I saw nothing that would indicate that the cop overreacted. If he put the punk in cuffs, so what? That's to protect the cop. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I hear ya, buddy, but something about the cop getting out of the truck to start asking for ID from that particular smart-ass makes me wonder at just what point a cop feels he can approach me and demand my ID under those circumstances.
-
If you'll note, right at the beginning of the video, the bike rider kind of looked up & waved at the camera. I couldn't quite hear the remark that the black guy made to the cop that pissed the cop off, but seriously, the cop needs thicker skin than that. Unless a person is driving, they are NOT required to give their ID to a cop. Name, birthdate, place of residence, yes. ID, no. That said, if a person LIES to a cop, that can be an additional charge. (Even though the cops are allowed to lie to a suspect or someone they've detained)

Personal responsibility bites another idiot in the a$$. Just keep walking. Dude had no need to interject. When the cop said "mind your own business" all dude had to say was: "my bad" and walk away. Dumb dude equals handcuffs and an uncomfortable ride in a van. Once the three cops initiate field contact with dumb dude he "had the right to remain silent" he chose to give up that right by talking junk. And we don't know what the cop saw, heard, or simply "felt" that the camera did not. All in all a good lesson probably not learned, mind your own business, and be respectful to the police.

I see nothing wrong the cop did. Stupid ass was running off at the mouth and in my opinion causing problems and being a public nuisance. But MAN! did that woman have a huge ass in the white pj's at the end :o Poor toilet. :(

ahahhahahah I was watching and the only thing I said during the whole video was HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THE SIZE OF HER ASS!!!!!!!!!! Words to live by with cops, "DON'T START NONE, WON'T BE NONE." I wish someone got tasered though. That is my favorite!

Thats real. Welcome to NY no one can shut the **** up! They can't understand that less is more. NYers run their mouths till the shootin starts! The cops are on the 20 year clock till they can retire up here in my neck of the woods and then they still can't shut the **** up! I hate them all! We call them Citidiots. They come up here to the country and don't have a clue. NYC has a mindset of its own and its like San Francisco queers on streroids.

Had to work in NYC from time to time when I lived in Jersey, I agree completely.
