Just noticed a teabag 'friend' defriended me.

He would post teabaggy stuff on facebook and I would respond showing how it was crap. He would then say I don't want to argue about it.

Well, I guess he didn't like it anymore and dropped me, not only him but his wife as well. She doesn't have a political bone in her body.

Wuss.

I'm sure you used DU links as your proof.

1. Some family members are all pissed off at me because

i refute the fox bullshit...
They also ostracized me for being gay. I managed to survive with out there attentions for almost 30 yrs...whats 30 more. Why the hell should I put myself out for their comfort. They don't care about me only themselves..

5. Hatred runs hard in their souls.

The US is in an unstable situation because of the billionaires and their propaganda.

Oh yep the whole mess is all the fault of the people who pay most of the taxes.
It has nothing to do with the people holding their hands open waiting for them to be filled.

I think the "Friend" got the better end of the deal when they dropped him.

Can you please kindly let me know when your side is planning on putting out some actual facts?
Just looking at the gun debate alone tells me that they think that pure emotion trumps any kind of factual evidence.

Same.

It's kind of funny in a pathetic sort of way.

I truly doubt that's why you were dropped. I had to drop a 'friend' of mine who I knew many years ago as a teenager. This person was so thoughtless and without class to want to take his digs during times of personal distress and quickly showed me that his politics(or lack of as he liked to claim) trumped any sort of loyalty to friends. He was swiftly dropped, but not without first letting him know this was not the first time he had done this, but it would not be the last as I do not suffer narrowly focused fools lightly. It's funny because it seems the smug shitty liberals are always the ones who lack total tact, empathy, or anything resembling humanity if they can take a little score for their side(of course I've seen it from the people way too embroiled in politics on our side too so *shrug*). That said, they seem to lack any sort of self-control too. So, my thought is this person may have had a small crisis or something happen in their lives and their shitty liberal friend decided that was a good time to take a little political dig of some kind for being smacked down in the past. My only regret with defriending the person I knew was not finding out their DU name first, but trust me my friends, I continue to scour the picture pages at DU :rotf:.

I was recently dropped as a friend by my ex-sister-in-law.  I hadn't spoken to her or seen her in 20 years but I always liked her and was happy when she requested to be my friend on Facebook.  We graduated from high school together and we were really close at one time.

Turns out, she's a rabid Obammy lover and so is her daughter.  They both dropped me and I'm sad.  I know some of her very old, very juicy secrets.  They are hidden away deep in my brain.................for now.

I can't imagine having that many DUmmy friends. I may know some democrats, I guess, I even suspect a sister, but they're too normal to admit their politics.

Almost every one that has defriended me were high school class mates that I haven't seen in ten years or more.  We never talked politics at the reunions I went to.

Haven't heard too much from the ones I debated when I asked why nobody on the left is calling for investigations regarding oil prices these days.

This happened to a friend of mine over the weekend. What he said was something I reposted on FB:

Quote
Best analysis I've seen of Obama's recent budget deficit speech comes from William Shakespeare:

A tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Macbeth, act 5, scene 5.

Notice, the only person attacked was the President (isn't dissent still patriotic? Guess not (http://chronicle.augusta.com/opinion/editorials/2011-04-15/duplicitous-dissent?v=1303078754))

The jackass's response?

Quote
It is sad that people like you on the lunatic right are so full of hatred for any non-white people that you cannot see how moderate the President is, and how extreme are your feelings. I feel sorry for you.

He goes and attacks the individual. These guys on the left think an attack on Obama is an attack on them and it makes them crazy. When leftists attacked Bush on spending and bailouts, I agreed with them. When Obama does the same, only exponentially worse, suddenly it's all good. I cannot imagine being that much of a sheep and invested that much into a politician.

Oh, and my friend didn't defriend him. It was the other way around. If this is the guy, trust me, the friend I'm referring to is VERY well educated.

From dealing with PhD's for 13 years in the lab, all I can say is this:  As the knowledge trickles into one ear, the common sense floods out the other ear.

Not saying that Fuzz idiot is the moron on FB I'm referring to, but my friend has both, education and common sense. I can almost see Fuzz as the idiot I'm talking about. He had red fuzzy hair.

The reason your "friend" doesn't want to discuss things with you is simply because on cannot debate envy, hate, any emotion really. Emotions are not facts. Emotions are not reason. Emotions are not logic.

You're an envious little prig who hates anyone with one cent more than you posses. That is how you feel. There is nothing to debate.

You could employ introspection and test your emotions but you don't care to. You simply want to justify your petty little prejudices. Good luck with that. I've noticed no end of people who are willing to indulge your insanity and allow you to justify it. You wont get anywhere in life and you wont be happy but you will have what you want.

Mazel tov.
