HUCKABEE-TRUMP 2012? HUCK DOESN’T RULE IT OUT, SAYS TRUMP IS ‘FOR REAL’
Posted on April 15, 2011 at 7:20pm by      Emily Esfahani Smith Print »Email »

Neil Cavuto and Gov. Mike Huckabee discussed the latter’s presidential aspirations–and Donald Trump–today on Fox News.

Would Huckabee consider picking Trump as his running mate for 2012? Huckabee doesn’t rule it out. He says of Trump, “I think he could be for real.”

I guess the Huckster is on the Soros payroll as well.

Can't say it surprises me.

I think "if" Trump runs, he's in it to win it, not play 2nd banana.  I just don't see The Donald play Biden in an alternative universe  :-)

I would like to see Trump jump into the primaries... not necessarily to win. It would be fun to watch him attack Obama and the Democrats on the issues and watch several of the Repub wimps cower. It might even make the eventual winner get a backbone.

You are correct. Trump is not going to play second fiddle to anyone.

I doubt that Trump will actually run.  But it might be fun to see him in a few debates with some of the inside the beltway crowd.

I thought Rove was going to blow a fuse when asked about Trump and his poll numbers. Too funny. I enjoy watching Trump go toe to toe with liberal reporters like George Stephanop. also.

I think Trump is going to "go for the gold"....only to drop out when a qualified GOP candidate that can beat Obama becomes front and center.

Trump is doing what a lot of us would like to do...find out just who/what Obama is. And he's going to make sure that American and everyone else in the world know it, too.

With the investigating he is supposedly doing...he's willing to spend however much it will take to uncover all that Obama is hiding. As a potential political adversary to Obama, it's a little easier to justify his actions than if he was just "John Q Public" even if he is Donald Trump...he's still just a private citizen.

What I can't determine from seeing Trump interviewed....is he really finding out stuff? hoping to find it? or just trying to get the Obama White House scared into coming forth with the real birth certificate, the college and medical records...and anything else Obama has kept hidden?

The other thing I think Trump is bent on doing ....is pointing out the failures of this administration and what Obama has done with weakening America's image/position in world power. He's raging anywhere and everywhere...TV, print, in person.

Trump's TV show is all about celebrities fighting with each other. Many in his audience are the same people who will believe anything a "celebrity" will tell them. They are also the same people who watch Jon Stewart. Maybe it's a sneaky way of trying to "wake" these viewer/voters up to what the Obama administration is REALLY doing to this country.

I don't think Trump wants Veep. And I don't like Huck. But he's got my vote if he takes Trump for Veep.
Huck is the only one who's gone on record as agreeing with Trump on China.

With Ron Paul in the race can anyone imagine what the debates will be like? It will be the "Ron and Don" show. I think we saw shades of this at CPAC when Trump was yelling down the Paulbots.

No it won't.  Paul will once again poll in the single digits when credible polls are released.  No amount of spamming or packing straw polls or internet polls will change the fact that Ron Paul is a throughly embarassing tool and completely unelectable outside the 14th CD of Texas.

And why he gets elected there still baffles me.

Kucinich's continual reelections are even more baffling. Dr. Nutz is a nutcase, but Kook-sinnich is a complete flaming whacko.

I think Trump would make a great pit-bull of a VEEP w/foreign policy. I don't think he has the Congressional
network that other VEEPs have had though.

I would not be surprised to see Trump/Huckabee or Huckabee/Trump on the ticket. If there is a match that might work --
it's that one. Huck's laid back, a folksy communicator. Trump is a bulldozer with a knack for pithy aphorisms.

I'd rather see Trump/Huckabee. Either way will be OK with me though.

I think he was bluffing. And I think that is soooo cool!

Trump bluffed and Obama blinked. What we're watching here may be historic folks.

Trump did the Repub Party a big favor by taking this issue off the table. Tump won, Obama lost because he had this issue in his back pocket and was going to use it right before the election.

Trump should go after his school records cause he is getting under the thin skin of Obama and his handlers. The rest of the Republicans should take heed. Grow a pair and challenge him on his failings.

My Mom lives in that district, and she can't tell me either.   ::)

I think it might have something to do with this.

U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) was one of only four House Republicans to break rank from the party and request earmarks despite a Republican Conference earmark moratorium. Paul sent 41 earmark requests totaling $157,093,544 for the 2011 Fiscal Year. His largest single request was $19,500,000 for a naval training ship at the Texas Maritime Academy in Galveston, followed by a $18,126,000 to provide maintenance on the Matagorda Ship Channel.

Huck not running?

It looks as if Mike Huckabee won’t be making a presidential run in 2012 after all.  An article at the Process Story blog says they have been told Huckabee is “giving his former S.C. supporters the nod to seek work on other presidential campaigns. The word is that he’s told South Carolina staffers that they have his blessing for them to peddle their wares elsewhere.”

But in the same artiicle:

Quote
A fresh bag of delicious grist is delivered by Hogan Gidley, Executive Director of HuckPAC, who says:

"National polling consistently shows Governor Huckabee is the frontrunner – so we expect a certain amount of unfounded speculation, odd rumors, and sadly, the occasional lie lobbed our way. But the Governor has been quite clear on this matter.  He has truthfully and repeatedly stated that he is seriously considering a run for President but he won’t make that decision until this summer – and that has not changed."

As I told Mr. Gidley, here's looking forward to a vigorous campaign in which many best shots are taken!
