In a victory for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, an official tally for a hotly contested Supreme Court election confirmed Friday that incumbent David Prosser defeated his Democratic-backed challenger by 7,316 votes.
The slim margin, out of nearly 1.5 million ballots cast, prompted challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg's campaign to say they may ask for a recount. They have until Wednesday to decide.
"We will review the information available to us and carefully weigh the options," the campaign said in a statement.
On Friday Mr. Prosser's campaign declared victory.

For some reason, I always assumed biblical events would occur on Standard Time.

Kloppenburg will have 5 business days after the last county completes and reports its recount within which to challenge the results in court, so that likely puts us at the end of next week.

The tragedy is that this has been done on the WI taxpayer's dime. It's a shame that the re-count won't come out of the Kloppyburger pocket.
Still, it's amusing to see the WI dems, unions, and socialists piss and moan about how unfair life is. But in the end, the good guys will win. (http://www.conservativecave.com/Smileys/default/happy.gif)

Are you kidding? Last time, it took over a week before 24 business hours finally expired. Five business days could put us into early July.

If they take note of that and remember who caused it come November of next year, that could still be a good thing in the big picture sense.
