See, there's a reason I put this up here...too damn tired to realize where I am putting it versus where I SHOULD be putting it.

ETA: Coffee in the morning, but 5-Hour Energy in the afternoon.  Pomegranate flavor rocks, plus it's easy to slam.

I thought this was breaking news for free Rockstar energy drinks!!

Rockstar for me.  Especially Rockstar Recovery with the lemonade flavor.  Only 20 calories for 16 oz.  Love it.

It's always coffee for me or just water.

I don't do energy drinks.  Maybe I should try them, but diet soda is so much cheaper.

Do you know I never even tried one?  Do they really work?  Do they keep you up later?   I get scared of insomnia, so I don't even have caffeine at lunch.  Coffee & juice in the morning and that's it.

Anybody try that night time sleep shots or whatever put out by the 5-hour energy people?  Do they work?

You should not have a problem unless you're sensitive to caffeine.

Personally, I never drink one after 3pm.  I once drank one at 6pm and was up well past 2am.  :rotf:

Never tried the night shots because I have no problem sleeping.

The smell of those energy drinks makes be gag.

If I want energy - all I need to do is drink a liter bottle of the red label coke and I'll be bouncing off the walls.

I've never had an energy drink and I don't plan too. I vary rarely drink coffee either. It's tea for me.

I'll do the 5-hour energy shot thing only when I have a long drive in front of me -- 3 hours or more. Matters not about flavor, though the Berry works pretty well.

I like Red Bull. It reminds me of drinking a Big Red (for those old enough to remember Big Reds). I've done the 5 Hr Energy shots and they didn't do much for me.

My energy drink is slimfast(trying to lose weight). The sugar content is too high in those energy drinks, I would end up in a diabetic coma, :(

Stores in Nevada still sell Big Red.

Slimfast often has a lot of sugar.

There are low carb, low sugar energy drinks.

When I have to work the night shift (that means driving all night long) Its 5 hr and Mountian Dew. That combo keeps me alert till the wee hours.

Strickly coffee.  Black.  If I feel a little freaky, I'll add some cream and sugar....Mostly black though :-)

The 5-hour energy shots contain NO sugar at all.

Yeah, I was surprised to find that out too.

I drink coffee, black and LOTS of it almost all day long. The Red Bulls will still get me a little more "awake". But, they are damned expensive!! A case of 24 small ones @ Sams is $34. (Still cheaper than the stores)

Ive been tryin Life Change Tea (http://www.getthetea.com/) lately. Heard about it from Rusty Humphries (http://www.talk2rusty.com/) on the radio.

Beats the heck out of the shot of boubon or the martini I used to favor.

Just make sure you drink the ones that are better for you.  I love Rockstar Recovery because it's only 2 grams of sugar for the whole 16oz.  Not all energy drinks are loaded with 20 cups of sugar.

I've been drinking this daily for about three months. Oprah even likes it, but she likes everything. www.myshakeology.com/paintkarz  It's healthy, gives me energy, helps keep the weight off & is approved for diabetics and to help prevent diabetes.

It's about $4 a day. If you sign up to sell it, like I did after a couple months of use, you save 25%.

It's versatile and has two flavors in which you can add fruit, juice, milk or extracts...there are many recipes out there to switch it up once in a while...the webpage can explain it better then I can. If anyone wants a free sample, just let me know. I will hook you up.

The world wide quest for the ingredients was just featured in O magazine's May issue.

Red Bull is too sweet for me--sickly sweet.  I tried the 5-Hour Energy before . . . drank the whole thing at about 1 PM or so that day.  That night, I glanced up at the projection of the clock on the ceiling and saw that it was after 11 PM, and I was still at 50,000 feet.

Never did 5-Hour Energy since.

I've never tried any energy drinks. I do very little caffeine...what I do get mostly comes from chocolate.  :-)

Slimfast is really high in carbs, unless you can find the low carb ones. I drink an EAS AdvantageEDGE carb control protein drink every morning. 17g of protein and only 3g net carbs. My favorite is Rich Dark Chocolate ...also comes in vanilla, strawberry and chocolate fudge.

Aren't those things kind of expensive??

Try the "diet" version of Red Bull sometime. It's not as bad.

I get 4 for $4.22 at Walmart, everywhere else they are $5.96.

I started on them when I started my diet back in July. I'm not good at eating anything first thing in the morning, but I can get one of these down....provided it's very cold. About a month ago, I was out of them (chocolate can be hard to find sometimes) and didn't have one for about 5 days in a row... and I tried substituting a Sprite Zero with a donut...that did NOT work!!! I was starving all day, and had no energy. May be psychological, but the protein drinks just seem to give me energy in the morning -which is not my time of day! - and curb my appetite.

I'd like to try the low carb slimfast , but have only seen strawberry ( :puke: ) at Walmart, and it's too expensive at Krogers.  :(

One of each sounds good right now.
