I'll admit, I have no idea what speech they're talking about, but apparently The Won scored some victory over the evil Re****kklicans.

Democrats should be celebrating today... Updated at 4:37 PM
simply for the fact that the Repubs are tearing their hair out. They were taken aback by the President's speech yesterday.
Whether we agree with the President or not, we should all agree that is good to see the Repubs in such disarray and screaming about the President calling them names, etc. Can you believe that? They are angry that the President called them "un-American" (In fact, he called their plan "un-American") But nonetheless, Democrats should be celebrating the damage the President inflicted on these assholes.
Instead, we are debating about whether there are going to be any actions following his speech. To be honest, there will be nothing if our Democrats in the House and Senate do not get on board. If they continue to act and talk as they have for the last few years, no President can save us.
For me personally, I relish this day. I have not seen such discomfort and confusion in the Republican Party in a long time. And that alone, is quite an accomplishment.

2. They are so thin skinned. They easily dish it out like cowards
with all their name calling and disrespect of the President. I guess they expected President Obama to keep "turning the other cheek".
Too bad this wasn't televised during prime time.

9. Now is the time for the follow up punch
Yes the repubs are a bunch of bullying wimps, and in typical bullying behavior they ran to Mom, the Principal, anyone they could, to whine up a storm after behaving badly for years.
Now is the key, Obama and all Dems need to be ready to pop their sorry faces at the first opportunity.
Don't you just love that civil, toned down rhetoric.

10. I love the fact that
Ryan had a front row seat to his own political dismembering.
President Obama - yes Ryan, he is YOUR President, sliced and diced with a smile on his face.
Yes, it is a good day today. And if President continues like this - it may be a VERY good 2012!
With Hope,
Annette

11. It was really great to see that the president has a detailed
plan to get us back on track!
Seeing as how someone claims to be a fan of Mr. Screamer can be forgiven their mental defects... What did I miss in this speech? Time to do a little googling.

This coming from a member of the Democrat Party?

Let's just say their take on it is 'Unique,' the speech was correctly nailed by all objective commentators as a bunch of pretty talk that didn't actually say anything plausible.

Right, It was a cruise and snooze speech...if you don't believe me, just ask Joe Biden.
-
It was a SPEECH alright and that is all it was. No plan no new ideas all the same old, same old Dem party talking points about raising taxes and sticking it to the rich. Nothing new since the beginning of the 19Th century.

What the fu......dge?
They were taken aback by the President's speech yesterday.
We were?
-
Eric Bolling is filling in for Glenn Beck now, and he just ripped the speech apart. Now he's got Rep. Paul Tonko (DeNY) on the ropes right now, and Tonko is spouting the same class warfare bullshit.
ETA: Coach, I was taken aback by the sheer stupidity of Obama's speech. So, in that regard, I can agree with that.

The bluegrass primitive should stop trying to figure out what Republicans and conservatives think.
He has no idea.
He just looks stupid when he does that.
All the Republicans and conservatives I know think the Big Zero's speech was full of shit.
-
I think more conservatives are upset with finding out that Boehner sold us a bill of goods than anything the TOTUS had to say.
-
Obama's speech sucked and with today's news that only 45% of people in the US are actually working? who the hell is paying for the other 55%?
-
Too bad this wasn't televised during prime time.
Why wasn't it? maybe he didn't want people working to actually hear that pathetic speech?
-
Don't blame the Kenyan. He just reads whatever scrolls by on the teleprompter.
-
Taken back by the speech or taken aback by the sheer level of bullshit?

One notable paragraph:
Mr. Obama then packaged his poison in the rhetoric of bipartisanship—which "starts," he said, "by being honest about what's causing our deficit." The speech he chose to deliver was dishonest even by modern political standards.
Hammer. Nail. Head.
