So anyway... on what you can do about the fallout

funny I have rarely heard that word out of our esteemed media...

1.- For those of you who did not get the powdered\shelf stable milk... try almond, coconut (high fat content) soy, or non at all. Yes, as long as this goes, I will resort to those too. It can't hurt...

2.- If you insist on eating leafy veggies, wash them very well. Me we cut them off the diet. and we are this week hitting our canned\frozen after rad net had the spikes on the 9th... again, can't hurt. As is YOU SHOULD wash them anyway... to remove dirt and other contaminants. so now you add cesium to it.

3.- Water. realize those who bottle water... sometimes use your city's water... ( A few of those scandals) thankfully our water systems do multiple flirtations... and if ou want to want to be safer, or feel safer, use a water filter at home.

4.- Realize that the media\industry is now into message control and control of information. The last thing they want us to know is that there is a problem.

Your personal risks of cancer have gone up by 0.0000001%... i might be missing zeros, but we will have clusters due to this... no doubt in my mind, for the same reasons we had them after TMI and Chernobyl, as well as the atmospheric testing. No these are not bouncy bunnies.Though I did hit into an industry joke and Gerbils... that is another story.

Oh and yes, the water on pool four shot to bellow boiling today. There pressure of that pool is 1 atmosphere, so yes it does boil at normal temperatures, that is the way it is. So that is a concern. They also got a few errors in translation... please people if you find a glaring error like an explosion don't fall on the OP, offer an explanation of why we will not get a nuke go off, just a nasty dirty bomb... on the bright side, there is not enough temp or pressure for hydrolysis to occur. so perhaps we will not get Hydrogen production. If we do, it is wickedly explosive. Again the physics don't seem to be there for that.

I'd be more concerned with contracting salmonella and smallpox E Coli from the "migrant population" that does the picking.

Shameless self promotion from last night:

http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,57854.msg666025.html#msg666025

She goes in the same order that I did.

Milk.

Veggies.

Water.

Controlling the message.

And you thought I just made all of that up, and that it wasn't prophecy?

Well, the over/under was three days, and the under was a winner. This will not end well, but it should be entertaining as hell.
The bullies haven't checked in yet. I'm sure the DUmmies at the semi-popular site have seen her posts at OET, trashing them and the DUmp.
She was starved for attention. We're the only ones who read her silly blog, the OET snots don't read any posts but their own, her tweets are ludicrous, and the DUmpmonkeys hate her. She'd rather be hated than ignored.

34. From what people who have worked around a reactor

have told me... 100 is a measure of concern... usually when you get those, it is things like a truck with an X-Ray core loitering around it. or the army moving some hot ammo,no not nukes, just DPU.. (Depleted Uranium rounds)

In normal times, when you are not dealing with actual fall out... people have hair on fire with 250...

From my VERY LIMITED training on this, 100 is of concern, and enough to start calling people in. (In a country where the army don't move DPU you do not call them)... and 500 is enough to start setting up a hot zone. 1000 is really scary.

Of course if it is only for a second or two... spikes do happen and it could be your gear too. But those are not just gear spikes.

It is also a matter of time, distance and all that. The longer it goes and how close you are to the actual source. It could be just limited to the monitor...

I know they have told us that there is nothing to worry about, but hey, what can I say, taking a few precautions ain't gonna hurt. And those are not crazy or expensive either.

46. Locking
We're going to lock this as it seems most of the replies refer to past issues. Please feel free to repost again about the topic and hopefully everyone can stick to the topic not the past.

Thanks for your understanding

Rhiannon12866 - DU Moderator

Now the moderators are bullying poor, stupid, nutcase nadin. I don't know if they hate her, or if they just really, really dislike almond milk.

I wonder what Skimmer's position is on crossposting. Nutcase nadin is now putting all her stuff on both the DUmp and OET, plus probably other moonbat sites we don't monitor. I guess she just doesn't want to cast anyone adrift, or maybe it's because OET is the only place she can post without being mocked and laughed at. No one gets mocked at OET, since the smug snots only read their own posts.

100 WHAT, you stupid scrunt?

100 Counts per minute.

In that case the people in Grand Junction, Co have been in trouble long before Fukushima.

100 cpm?  Oh, FFS!  They can't even show a change in background and nadin is in a ****ing panic!

And nadin--I work in a nuclear power plant.  I have for nearly 25 years.  You're a ****ing mouth-breathing tool.  Go die in a ****ing fire already.

I can deal with falling out.  Falling off, that is an entirely different deal altogether.

That sounds like fun to read.  However, I have no clue what OET stands for.  A hint would be appreciated, or a link...   :hyper:

They may be fac inated with her as we are facinated with the primitives, I don't know. Either way you look at it, nadin STILL makes for some decent entertainment. What with her being in a constant faux-intellectual stupor, and all.

Can she still be in the Top Primitive awards??  :-)

Yes, she can, and she probably will be, but as nadinostradamus seems to be fading out, it'd be a wonder if anyone remembers her in late November.  There's still lots of 2011 to go yet.
