I comes out at last.
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2011/04/11/trump-will-probably-run-as-independent-if-he-doesnt-win-gop-nomination/
Its a blog...BUT it's based on a video interview with the Wall Street Journal. Look at 6:15 on the video. He seems to like the idea of running as indy better than playing with the GOP...
I had thought Trump was a stealth candidate speaking the words of the Tea Party, and acting like a liberal.

I would be surprised if he actually runs.

I would be surprised if he actually runs.
Not me, he will run I believe as he LOVES the hunt and the chase-----not to mention the take down.
Why not, he is a billionare not by inheritance but years of bamboozling the opponents, very smart game play and second guessing the competition. He is a very dangerous man with knowledge of the leaders from all over the world. Unlike Chess a slow and strategic game , he is playing Checkers a fast paced game and he owns all the kings.
He and family are set for life no money worries there. What else does he have to do with his life but to play the most difficult game in his life---to become President of the USA.
He has nothing to loose but money and he can afford to loose 3/4 of his bank roll and still be supersonic wealthy. Is he a thug in the world of economics, most possibly and it is time we had a thug in office that can straighten out our policy toward other nations and kick the living shit out of anyone that trays to harm America. Be it foreign or domestic.
Bigest challenge of his life here, I do hope he will run on the Republican ticket, we need a knuckle dragging deck ape to keep the our Ship of State safe and secure.
-
I applaud him for the birther campaign. But this is all about him.
Any news, is good news for his business and his career ... whatever that is.
This would be an absolutely brilliant strategy for El Douchebag to win.
-
That's exactly what I see happening. The GOP is being pushed in the right direction, but they're still failing us. Career polititians are a curse; they'll talk the talk but never walk the walk.
Budget cuts? Stick me in any government office, city, state, fed- I guarantee I can cut spending and still run the office effectively.

And then he's bored and moves on to something else.

One name....Jim DeMint.
-
I heard an interview with Trump a few weeks ago on the radio, I think it might've been Savage's show? whatever show he was on, and he said he wouldn't run as an Independent because it would end up hurting the Republicans if he did.
Oooops, just read the article and he flip flopped I guess, UGH!
-
He's certainly enough of an egotist to do it, and consequences be damned as long as people are looking at him.
I'm no Trump fan.
-
I'm all for the idea of a businessman to be the President. I'm just not so keen on Romney or Trump.
Trump bankrupted a CASINO for goodness sake! How is that even possible? :mental:
-
I was an early Trump supporter.
Today...meh?
He's got the right ideas IMO.
But more & more, he strikes me as being an air head.
The Koran gives off a 'negative vibe'?
A negative f***ing vibe? :

Right now he's the flavor of the month. His poll numbers skyrocketed. They'll plummet just as fast. He'll end up getting bored and moving on. He'll lose a ton of support as soon as his "I'll run as an independent" meme gets around. More than anything, that proves it's all about him. He doesn't even know who the "other than him" candidate will be and he's already decided he's the only one who can win.

And frankly, the, "He's TIED for the lead!" poll is crap. Look who he's tied with.
Huckabee.
Not happening. He'll find out how much actual WORK is involved (not that he's afraid of it) and how nasty politics really can be, and he'll stick to his businesses and hosting shitty reality shows.
-
He's hedging it now.
He says he doesn't want to hurt the GOP now.
http://www.breitbart.tv/loesch-interviews-trump-i-dont-want-to-do-anything-that-would-hurt-the-republican-party/
That was his first non-campaign mistake I think. GOP primary voters are going to wonder about this.
-
Network he works for doesn't believe he's serious, from what I hear.
-
<------------------ Keep an eye out for this guy.
I won't vote for Trump. If he wins the primary, I'll vote 3rd party.
-
I don't see Donald Trump running. He is just always out for attention as he is. Classic Donald Trump.
Donald Trump has an older sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, who is a federal judge.

I don't much about him except that he is doing the appentice show. I am not sure why he is so well known, because a lot of people have lots of money....

I don't think he would run if he didn't think he could win.
So if he can't get the GOP nod - there won't be a 3P race.
But I think he's going to be more formidable for the GOP nomination than people give him credit for.
