Why are all these teabagger "conservative" types so opposed to illegal immigrants working in the US
I mean if they really DO believe in smaller less obtrusive government then they shouldn't care who works for whom or where they came from. I mean if they really believe in smaller government then isn't creating a law that bans people from other countries from working here just a massive government intrusion on the rights of the business owners to hire who they want?
I totally shut down a uber right winger I work with today by pointing out the cognitive dissonance of being for smaller government but objecting to "illegal" immigrant workers at the same time.
Shut him up and shut him down entirely.
I mean the nerve of all those crazy left wing laws preventing the use of undocumented workers.. What's next? A ban on child labor? :sarcasm:
The only reasons the teabaggers are opposed to "illegal" immigration so they can use it as a cudgel against the President and because many of them are clearly racist.
It's great fun to use their own rhetoric against them to blow up their illogical statements..
:rofl:

Shut him up?
More like he was struck dumb at the insipidness of the statement and incredulity that anyone would make it.
When did defending the borders from 20 million tax-siphoning parasites become a pro-big government position?
Or is this another small government = anarchy arguments?

14. I hate that one too. Americans not doing hard low paying jobs is b.s.
Well, it's not like liberals consider themselves to be Americans.

8. deep down, it's about MONEY and PURITY of race
They don't want to pay for schools for the kids of immigrants, their health care, and they sure as hell don;t want THEIR kids dating/marrying one..
If they could import mute Mexican eunuchs, their worls would be wonderful
DUmmies are mostly white, have no balls/get abortions/are gay and we don't like you either.

9. The Rope-A-Dope
Yep...I do have a lot of fun playing with wingnuts and spinning their pretzel logic into pancakes.
Here's the one thing about the immigration game that is implied but never said. They want the cheap labor. I assure you that few wingnuts will ask to see a lawnkeeper's papers if it means he doesn't have to get off his lazy ass to do the job and wants someone to do it on the cheap. Or he needs to have the crops picked and its far preferable to find someone who works in a day what a labor worker will get paid in an hour. Then language, nationality, legality? No problem.
But the game only works when you keep those people demonized...made to be an underclass. Make them "inferior" due to their language or financial straits. Dehumanize them so it's not a person trying to feed a family doing the work but something inferior. And if they're "inferior" they surely don't deserve the "riches" such as health care or education. It's opportunism wrapped in hatred. A shameful example of "American Exceptionalism"
They never say this about Mexico's draconian immigration policies.

10. I don't know if Teabaggers are smart enough to know about immunization, but it concerns all
The question everyone who who wants a secure life here in the United States needs to ask is can the folks who are arriving illegally be trusted to obtain the required immunizations required by law before entering the country.
CDC Fact sheet
Current vaccination requirements
Immigrants must go through a medical screening for certain diseases and receive vaccinations to help protect the public’s health. Immigrants are screened―
* before coming to the United States, when seeking permanent residence, OR
* in the United States, when changing their visa status to become permanent residents.
Currently, immigration law requires that immigrants have proof of vaccination against―
* Mumps
* Measles
* Rubella
* Polio
* Tetanus and diphtheria
* Pertussis
* Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib)
* Hepatitis B

15. They aren't the ones who seem illogical to me.
Smaller government doesn't mean 'NO' government.
Illegal workers take away jobs, I guess that's okay with you? Please study Supply & Demand, more workers means lower wages.
I can't believe how some people on DU think lower wages is a good thing.

17. Convenient scapegoats IMO
I'm certainly no expert on the issue, but that's my opinion. Consider the difference between CEO and employee pay - consider the average and compare it with previous decades.
Does the issue with wages really have a great deal to do with illegal immigrants? I don't think so - but again, that's just my opinion. I think that the majority of the wealth overall is hoarded by the few and that when they need to further their agenda (an agenda fanatically supported by most republicans) they bring out some convenient scapegoats to whip. Then the focus alters to what they see as a common enemy. Don't worry about what our corporations or their leaders are doing, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, that's not a private jet he's flying....
I think illegal immigrants are often painted and used as the common enemy to unite Americans against them - all while subtly convincing us to ignore larger issues.
So, supposedly the money motivated side wants their cheap labor deported at great effort and expense but the fair wages crowd wants wages driven down during a major recession and all of those health laws they impose on others in the name of public safety to be ignored.
Why?
Oh, that's right...
...their masters told them: http://www.seiu.org/political/issues/immigration/
Gotta get those union dues to pay for their politicians. Pelosi must certainly succumb to Botox poisoning eventually. I hear her face is being declared a Super Fund site.

Which is why in areas with high illegal immigrant populations, you see diseases that up until recently in this country were all but unheard of, such as drug-resistant strains of TB, Hep B and C, and Chagas, to name a few.
-
Illegal immigration hurts our poorest citizens, and helps "the evil rich" reduce the paychecks of their least skilled employees. I guess Dims and DUmmies don't care about the poor. All they care about is cheap labor for the Democratic masters, and their unemployment/disability/welfare checks...

I'm sure those illegals who walk into our country illegally make sure their vaccinations are all up to date before they leave.
Idiot.

Why do you think we've got an increase in increasingly resistant strains of tuberculosis?

That's all I needed to read.
Primitives = overwhelming stupidity. And they wonder why the Country is broke and taxes are going up.
Highlighted key word for DUmmies to make it easier.

For every dollar an illegal contributes they use $3 in services, who's paying for that?

Okay...let me see if I have this straight...your argument is people who want smaller government shouldn't care whether the laws actually on the books are enforced. And that the "left" who practically wants to welcome every illegal alien with free condoms, abortions, and health care (not necessarily in that order) are also responsible for the laws that keep illegals from getting into the country? Seriously? And you actually think you got the better of someone with that nonsense?
I think I'd stop talking to you at that point too. Out of pity. My cats throw up hairballs who could make smarter arguments.

But didn't bobothehobo calculate that $3 spent on an illegal adds something like $7 into the economy?

If you grab the average pencil neck libtard by his pencil neck and apply a bottle opener to the top of his cranium, don't expect to see brains. More like looking into a coffee can of fish bait. Yes, it is alive but a completely insentient writhing mass of chaos. Pray for them, forgive them for they know not what they do.
Will they never learn? Then again I must bare in mind what I know and they refuse to see. The insurmountable cost of supporting these trespassing illegal parasites.
There is also the libtard's lackadaisical ignorance of government spending, viewed from the recieving end of the teat of course to consider. Money from the government is like manna from Heaven in their feeble minds. They don't question where it comes from or why, they just demand it, endlessly.
As someone said somewhere on this forum, "you can lead them to water... and hold them under until they stop kicking"! Liberals are such stunning retards. :hammer:
As I see it smaller government means more of a fence building budget. Do it. Do it now.
They champion their savior, Glorious Comrade Leader who campaigned on closing Gitmo. Fine. Close it already! It is nothing more than a place. The terrorists it holds can be held elsewhere but the libtards can't fathom that separation mentally.
Gitmo also just happens to have the largest minefield in the world, bigger even than the Korean DMZ. If we close Gitmo and leave Cuba we would be remiss to leave all those land mines behind, no? Lady Di and all that.
So if we close Gitmo, LIKE THE LIBTARDS WANT then where, oh where are we to deposit all these surplus land mines?
Hmmm...
Gee...
I know, I know !!! Oh! Oh! Oh!
Anyone care to venture a guess???

I have no guess....but I would like a few to play/experiment with. I'd like to plant them around the dope dealers houses, keep the dope dealer in his house and the dope buyer away from his house.
