The Republicans don't understand the rules. Updated at 11:02 AM
They have the majority in the House. The Democrats have the majority in the Senate. And a Democrat sits in the White House, the head of the Executive Branch of government.
But the Republicans do not understand that they alone cannot pass anything. It has to go through the Senate and be signed by the President, in order to become law.
All budgets and spending bills must originate in the House. That is their responsibility. They must present a budget. They must reach a compromise with the Senate. They do not have the authority to make the Senate and the President sign whatever they pass. And therein lies the problem.
They think they are in control of government. Do they not understand the Constitution? Are they even qualified to be elected representatives of the people if they don't even know the rules?

You know what Kentuck? You are right, That is their responsibility. They must present a budget.
Nancy Peolsi violated the rules.
She did not present a budget in 2010 for 2011.

I think that the republicans are finally beginning to understand the rule, not rules. That is meet the donks force to force. Win by any means possible. Look at what Boehner did today.

All of us should call/email/write his office and let them know we support them. The Speaker has done good, not folded, and hit a shot to the far corner of the court.

Just 2 days ago, I was hearing how he was folding and how we need to replace him as speaker, blah blah blah.

Now you wouldn't have heard that from one of those MSM outlets would you have?
If the other team will do anything to win, you have to too. Playing fair when the other guys are not is a plan to lose.

Do they not understand the Constitution?
I often ask myself if the imposter occupying the white mosque does?
Apparently not.

No, actually I heard that from fellow conservatives.

So the rules are now the House (or Republicans, that is) must bow down and kow-tow to the Senate and President? I thought they were co-equal, with none ruling the other.
Guess I learn something new every day.

Actually the rules are that any fiscal legislation must start in the House, where a budget for the remainder of FY 2011 was indeed passed, it is the Senate and the President who are holding up the show and failing to do their jobs.

Did I hear Charles Krauthammer say that yesterday evening? I was quite taken aback.
I agree with CK on matters middle east, but not on everything else. I think he's a jackass when it comes to conservative women, for instance.

Which rule is that? The "Elections Have Consequences" rule you DUmbasses so loudly touted up until last November?
I guess we'll take a pass on that rule now, eh?
