More Americans murdered in Mexico. The article does not clarify why this happened, too early to tell I assume.
These two guys are portrayed as being clean cut upstanding decent people, not the sort to be involved in the ongoing troubles in Mexico. Random act of violence or is there more to the story we don't know yet?
Either way, any American that willingly enters Mexico these days is taking a huge risk just being there.

A suspicious person might wonder how the notoriously inefficient and corrupt Mexican authorities tied the ammo to known drug gangs so quickly, particularly if said person was suspicious enough to think that the ammo might possibly have headstamps or something identifying its lot numbers recorded in a log somewhere in the bowels of Operation Gunrunner...

True, I don't feel particularly safe in Sierra Vista; would HATE to live in Douglas or Nogales.
-
repeat after me: "Our border has never been more secure...."

I don't feel particularly safe when visiting my sister on the far east side of Tucson. She lives almost in the foothills.
I was raised in Tucson, but I don't ever want to move there again.

yeh, article said they lived in Tijuana but worked in the US.

HA HA! :-) How true it is.
I'd never set foot in Mexico.

Back in the mid 80s, I seriously considered moving to Tijuana. Then, the Navy put restricted hours on the town. Kind of ruined that idea.

Don't worry, Mexican officials will announce any minute now that they had drugs in their truck. Then Nappy can assure us once again that the border's safer than ever.

I wholeheartedly agree.
