The presidency is bigger than that jug-eared twit.

I'll give him a pass on this because the powertrain on those vehicles have to bear the armor and everything else.

I want the POTUS protected.

I'm thinking that one of the unintended consequences of this directive is going to be HUGE maintenance and upkeep costs. Not to mention significantly higher upfront purchase prices.

One of the intended consequences is more then likely to boost virtually zero Volt sales so GM can start advertising how popular the useless vehicles are.

So basically Obama has to admit that green technology just may not be as good as the reliable technology we currently have.

I agree to that. I will always respect the Office of the President of the United States unconditionally.

On the engine of every military humvee is a sticker that says "exempt from EPA regulations". I suppose you would want the military stuck with crap-ass vehicles just to follow some policy as well.

I dunno if that argument follows.

Obviously the up-armoring of the POTUS vehicles is a rare situation.

Of course the green standards, period, are a load of crap but IF they were legit ( :rotf: ) the rarity of underlying circumstance wouldn't justify the grousing.
