Title: Parenting question for dads of daughters...
Post by: Splashdown on April 01, 2011, 03:26:49 PM
A boy in my daughter's kindergarten class called her "hot." At what age is it appropriate for me to break out the shovel?

It's never too early.  Though my daughter was always pretty good at making the Might of her Will be known.

Never too early to at least start putting a good edge on one.  As a single mom of three daughters, I can run a shovel three ways pretty handy myself.

Nope, never too early.  Shotguns work well too.

Gotcha beat.  I had a girlfriend, or whatever passes for one then, in kindergarten.  By 2nd grade at St. Ann's, I had three.

Then we moved . . .  :bawl:

As to the original question, it's funny that I was just at the LGS looking at sniper rifles . . .

I started noticing girls quite a while ago, too.

They haven't seemed to catch up yet. :p

My first boyfriend was Jeff.  In Pre-K.  When we moved to Kansas, I cried the whole darn way.  :bawl:

When my daughter was 14 and we were at an ROTC event at a paintball field, One of her classmates made the mistake of asking me if it was ok to date my daughter. Since she was laready dating someone at the time I figure it wouldn't hurt to mention that I have a gun and a shovel and plenty of time to use them both.
