No reviews yet, but I'm sure it has sold less copies than Nancy Pelosi's book.

She has THREE books on Amazon, none of which have any reviews.....which tells me she has yet to sell a single copy. :rotf:

Just three. :rotf:

That's all. Three copies. Her vanity publishing deal wasn't bankrolled by Plagiarist Pitt's mother.

How come no comments in Customer Discussion?

I tried to find it's Amazon sales ranking. I don't think it goes down that far.

How come no comments in Customer Discussion?
Soon as her gummint check clears she's going to buy one of her books and write some comments.

There aren't even any used ones available. $27 for a paperback? If she wants anyone to review them she'd best be giving them to her fellow Pitties.

Hey, copy paper, printing ink, staples and all those hours of sitting in your kitchen making 'books' takes some BUCKS! $27 sounds reasonable ....
Heh.

It's a gaming suppliment. :lmao:
This core book will enable players to make characters to be used in the world of Future Nexus. It will also introduce players to an expansive world that allows players to be the heroes of multiple empires and species. It includes a tactical rule system, allowing players to engage in miniature gaming. The easy to follow construction system allows players to build any and all kinds of vehicles, ranging from wheelchairs to system defense nets.
The Battle of the Line at Kesmai destroyed Third Fleet, but some need to keep the secret from those who rule. If the reality of the attack is ever revealed, humanity will have no choice but to unify under one banner. Some, bound by the ancient code, fight this for they need a field of honor to test their mettle. Others, bound by a profit interest driven by war profiteering, see peace as bad for business. Caught in the maelstrom are two men, who have faced each other who are bound by a Code of Honor that is stronger than any other...
This is the first supplement for Future Nexus. It gives the players and extensive intelligence brief on the Astrac and the Tal, as well as some information on the Xerxes and the Tumaric. It hints at more species across the void and expands on possibilities. It introduces two more species, vehicles, warships and new technologies. It also brings new skills, flaws and advantages, as well as new skill packages. It is a supplement to the core book.

For a fairly modest run, you can get a full-sized trade paper out the door for quite a bit less than that. My wife had a book picked up by an e-publisher a few years ago, but had a case of them printed and shipped for her to sell directly as well, I believe she sold them all at around $15 apiece. The price may have gone up from inflation on materials, or stayed in the same range if tech improvements offset that, but $27 seems pretty high.

Potential review...
Pros: None
Cons: A little rough as toilet paper.
:)

How many pages do those books have?
I'm running out of toilet paper. :lmao:

Future Nexus Core Book
by Ian Bohne [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/14/2009 06:28:19
As much as I love sci-fi rpg, this game just fails to grab me. I found the rules hard to read (the single column layout is so simple it becomes hard to follow...and wastes much space with left-justified tables that leave much white space). The core mechanic doesn't appear until page 94 of the 250 pages. Most of what is before that is character creation, and what follows is combat and metasetting.

It's not just the DU that finds you insufferable Nadin. :(

Future Nexus Core Book Available
We have finally released the core book of Future Nexus, which is now on sale at RPGEDGE.com. This is the direct link to the product on the site, http://edge.rpgnow.com/product_info....ducts_id=6078&. You can also find a link to the site from the product page at WWW.DEISTGAMES.com.
So you may ask, what is so innovative about this game? Here are some of its features:
Characteristics of the Core Rule Book
Fast, flexible character creation rules. You can use skill packages only, a skill list or a combination of the two
Fast combat system that incorporates any level of play you want to do, from the cinematic to the hyper-gritty.
An easy to follow construction system that will allow you, as it stands right now, to build anything from a wheelchair, yes we did it, to a system defense network.
A tactical combat system, so if your choice is to push lead, you have the rules
Lots and I mean LOTS of fluff. Three solar systems have even been detailed quite a bit. When all was said and done, I believe one third of the book IS fluff.
Enjoy, we are very pleased with this release and look forwards to hearing from you and to our next release, ahem, them pesky aliens.

Three double cheeseburgers from McDonalds have roughly the same going rate as a brand spankin' new book written by William Rivers Pitt.

Since there's no way this thing sold 65 copies, DUmmy Raven must have been busy logging reviews.
You have to admit, though, it was an interesting collaboration. Shortly after Raven paid to publish the book the author, Scott Ritter, was arrested and subsequently convicted of pedophilia. Plagiarist Pitt, whose name was on the cover because his mother paid the publishing costs, lost his substitute teaching career due to self-admitted pedophilial tendencies. So here we have an anti-Bush screed just dripping with pedophilia. A winner at the Dump.

Is it really her? Does she have a history of talking about or playing role-playing games? I would imagine if she wrote a game it would be called something like The Hunt for Moose and Squirrel.

She does. She claims she works on some GoBot or Voltron role-playing game with her business partner.

Wait a minute...WHAT?? Please give all of us who haven't heard about this some background.
Well, before his drunkenness became perpetual and morbid, DUmmy Pitt would from time to time serve as a substitute teacher at a junior high school in Boston. Then several years ago he showed up at the DUmp in the guise of a sock puppet. He described his life and occupation in such a way as to make his identity obvious. He then asked the DUmbasses for advise on how to handle a situation in his real world life that could result in imprisonment, because of some regrettable activity he had enjoyed with a girl, or girls, from the school. I'm sure someone here still has access to the tale as told by Pitt. Anyway, he expressed real fear that he would shortly begin a trek through the criminal justice system. He had to have been blind drunk to have discussed such a matter with the DUmbasses on a public message board. The legal repercussions apparently didn't happen, and maybe the sock puppet story was drunken hyperbole, but his alcoholism then became more and more severe and apparent, resulting in lots of hilarious drunken posts and the end of his subbing career. The sock puppet episode, and his involvement in the "24 business hours" debacle put an end to his influence at the DUmp. It's been several years, and I've probably forgotten or confused some of the details, but that's it in a nutshell.

.....but that's it in a nutshell.
Ah, yes.
The famous "Temporary Sockpuppet" (the real screen-name used) episode.
Also, one of P-J Comix's funniest DUmmie FUnnies, ever.

A Personal Decision
THis sockpuppet was created with explicit admin permission and will not be reused.
I am fear’s hostage.
Several years ago, I was wrongly and clandestinely accused of terrible things in two separate incidents. The action appears to have been motivated by petty maliciousness in one case and by fear and racism in the other. The rumors were discussed and believed by literally hundreds of people, including those in administrative and dominant social positions. I found out about both years or months later from people outside the organizations, as no one inside them bothered to confront, warn, or face up to me in person. Prior to this, I was one of the most universally respected persons, but since then I have been stained, and carry a legacy of disgrace. Upon visiting one organization after my direct involvement ended, I heard about the accusation there again from people much younger than me, indicating that when I and the others left, the story and the mark stayed.
Though the accusations were never brought to legal ends, I fear that they carry the effect of multiple felony convictions. I believe that should I ever apply for a job that requires a thorough background check, run for public office, or make an enemy of any person, these rumors will spring out of my history, and because they are believed by so many people and I have no means to disprove them, be taken as fact. This won’t ever go away, no matter how old I live to be. It will follow me all the way to my grave.
I’m in a different town now, but I remain surrounded by people involved in both incidents. At any time, should I be recognized publicly, or should someone have a grudge against me, some of the very accusers themselves can step forward and instantly destroy my career prospects, social relationships, and most other aspects of my life beyond hope of repair.
That this has happened and that I cannot escape it shames and angers me. I want to loosen its grip on me, and gain what measure of freedom from the terror and stigma I can.
To that end, I am considering open disclosure and discussion of the incidents with the majority of my friends, so that among them I can move among them without such shame or secrecy. I see no means to eliminate the root problem, as it would require all the accusers, some of whom were never identified to me, to openly confess their falsehood, and for thousands of people all across this state to hear and believe them. I expect that if they hear about this, several of my friends will break contact with me, lose their faith in me, or no longer be trusting and genuine, and that I will not be able to tell with certainty which do and which do not.
I post this here in search of friendly advice and support."

262. If by "weird," you mean hilariously stupid, then I'm in 100% agreement.
This person must be superpopular and cool to be able to get away with using a sockpuppet to elicit free legal advice with the sanction of the admins.
Is it Will Pitt, using an intentionally poor writing style?

Well, I didn't read through that stupid thread, Karin, or would have noticed Pittard replied to himself. Thanks for pointing that jewel out.

And now a word about this Nadin character.
Years and years ago in another life, before yahoo and google and all that, back in the mid 1990's, I ran an e-mail list for people who collected old sewing machines
(Yes, I know this wouldn't interest most of you, but we had several hundred people on the list)
I had one member who I decided was either (a) psychotic or (b) a troll with way too much time on their hands. Since I was manually creating a digest of messages daily at the time (Hey, it was a long time ago and I liked to get my hands dirty and do things without software) I just stopped sending out the message this person would post.
Who ever it was eventually moved on to other sewing/craft related e-mail lists
(I know because I was on a few and ended up comparing notes with the individuals running those lists)
My point - after 16 years, I see this individual is still on the Internet and still as crazy as ever. I really do believe that Nadin is the same person. Same sentence pattern, same self-righteous/victim stance, same overall posting pattern, same everything.
FWIW
