Title: Coin collectors
Post by: rich_t on March 29, 2011, 01:40:52 PM
Do we have any coin collectors here?

I found an interesting 2001 Vermont quarter when I was wrapping some coins today.

It is slightly smaller in diamater than a regular coin and has a smooth copper colored edge.

LOL, that may be an aberration!! If so, that makes it more valuable than others. I've read that when coins or paper money  are not 100% from design, they tend to be worth something more than face value. I don't collect coins, but I have read of these things.

Thanks Thor.  This thing might just be a 25c on 5c flan stamping error.  Worth a chunk of change if it is.

I'll have to see if I can find a reputable coin expert to take a look at it.
