Title: Starting the mobile mouse server on reboot/start up.
Post by: Duke Nukum on March 29, 2011, 12:42:49 PM
Hi

I am trying to find out if there is a way to get the server for Mobile Mouse to start on a mac mini on reboot, not login.

Trying to control a Mac Mini from an iPad with the Mobile Mouse app, which works well but one has to log into the account before the server starts up on the mac mini.

I've tried creating an @reboot cron entry which didn't do anything as far as  I can tell.

TIA.

Well, I did some more work on this and did manage to get the mobile mouse server to start a few minutes after reboot but it didn't work. Got some error messages that lead me to believe that what I want to do simply cannot be done with this app.

I don't know a great deal about that particular function - but It looks to me like it is a feature not a "bug".

The being required to log in before being able to do anything part anyway.

Yeah, I think that is just the way it works but it does make it a pain in the butt to have to go from a keyboard back to the controlling device.
