Breaking on FNC. Geraldine Ferraro has died, probably from complications of the cancer she has suffered over the years. No link yet.
-
The DUmp is all broken up about it. Wait until someone points out her job at Fox, and her recent defense of Palin.
-
I didn`t agree with her politics but had no ill feelings about her.
Wishing condolences to her family.
-
So sad. :(
-
RIP.
Regardless of her politics, she opened a lot of doors for women who wanted to get into national politics.
-
Always a classy Lady...RIP

RIP.
Regardless of her politics, she opened a lot of doors for women who wanted to get into national politics.
And took a hell of a lot of slings and arrows - some deserved, others possibly not so much - so that the ladies that followed in the path behind her wouldn't have to.
-
Like the rest of you, I don't need to have agreed with her politics to pray for comfort for her family and friends and appreciate what she did for women in politics.
-
Awwwww, I felt bad when I heard this, God Bless Her.
I totally disagreed with her politically but I liked her on Fox News, she had a good sense of humor and Sean Hannity seemed to like her. Just heard Sarah Palin being interviewed on Fox and she was very classy and made some really nice comments.

She was one of those who could argue with you, disagree with you, and do it without rudeness, name-calling, and generally tasteless behavior. It's too bad we lost her, she was a rare breed these days.

Greta Van Susteren is all class:

Whether you are a Dem or a Repub, you have to admit, an extraordinary woman has died. She was the first and it meant so so so so much.
To you Republicans, your mother was a woman so you should appreciate the trailblazing. To you Democrats, shame on any one of you who was petty when Gov Palin was named to the ticket (yes, disagree with political opponents and disagree vigorously but petty?)
I can tell you that when Geralidine was named as a VP candidate, it was HUGE for women. It made such a difference!
I remember when I first met her years later..it was such a thrill. As you know, she was a Fox News Contributor in recent years so I was really lucky to be able to talk to her more....

RIP.

Prayers to her friends and family.
I agree with most of the above sentiment - I didn't care for her politics, but Geraldine as a person was admirable in many ways.
-
Sad news. RIP and prayers to her family too.
-
The world is a worse place with her gone from us. One may not have agreed with her, but there was a civility and class in her discourse that is sadly lacking today.
RIP, Rep. Ferraro.
-
What a loss.
RIP.
-
Oh how sad. She was so classy and such an inspiration for myself and so many girls my age. Rest in peace, and prayers for the family.
-
I really admired her, still do, for all she did for women in politics, and her non-partisan defense of both Hillary and Sarah during the vicious attacks on both of them by (mostly) Dem operatives who wanted Obie above all.
RIP, lady, and prayers for your family and friends.

RIP Geraldine Anne Ferraro.

Former Rep. Ferraro was an advocate for what she believed in and opened the door for women everywhere. Though she is politically opposite me, she always meant well and was a decent person. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.
