Title: My Hi5 Quest
Post by: Revolution on March 26, 2011, 10:46:36 AM
OK, so I decided to go the opposite direction as Eupher, and seeing as nobody has decide to campaign for Hi-Fives yet, (surprisingly) I'm going to. Daily contrubuter to the forum, (especially the DUmp) and an all around good guy.

Let the campaign....BEGIN!

(And if anyone BSs me for this thread, as Gutfeld would say, you my friend, are worse than Hitler. :p

According to Eupher, I'm the resident Grammar Nazi, Time Nazi and I suppose, spelling Nazi. So...............

Actually, I've been meaning to ask you something, sir.

As an administrator, does the software allow you to remove the high-five and bitch-slap things from my own account, so that nobody can use them for, or against, me?

I'd just as soon if somebody's pissed at me, they comment rather than bitch-slap.

And the opposite, they comment rather than high-five.

No, it does not allow for one individual to NOT have the "Karma" thingy. It's either all or none. I'm with you, Frank. I'd rather they stand up like a person with some intestinal fortitude and explain why they bitch slap me or high 5 me. But, alas, there are those that just do it for whatever reason. However, don't take the Karma actions so seriously. In the end, they really mean little or nothing.

Rev. *Sigh*.

Do you have any idea what you've created?

An open invitation for as many bitchslaps as the software will allow you to have.

It's one thing to campaign for decrepitness (as I've done), but h5's should be awarded for truly outstanding posts or actions warranting same.

Certainly not because you're on a "quest."

Bitchslapped for being a copycat. In the other direction.

Meanie-head!

This has worked a bit, but worked a bit better in the BS department. :(

I'm actually pretty happy with the almost even response I've gotten. Let the Hi5ing continue!  :-) ;)

Hi-fives must be earned.

Bitchslaps, however, will be given freely. :)

I earn them daily, and you know it. :p

Nice. I have that effect on women. Sometimes good. Sometimes bad...

frank, it's impossible to ever be pissed at you.

Not even when he goes on long explanations, actually. There is need to step away, and rest the eyes sometimes though.

I'm with Frank on this one, sort of. It's not that I would prefer a comment in lieu of a BS or a H5 because if I've been an ass I deserve the BS but at least do it in the middle of the street at high noon, not this anonymous sniping from the shadows stuff. That's limp. :bird:  Likewise if you agree with me or I've made you smile it's nice to know that.  :)

Rev, of course you must have known one cannot ask for more porridge!

B.S.!

Frank is indeed ignored by 2 members though, Bally.

Who need to be BS'd.

Yeah, and you have no idea how much that hurts.

Do the words "seething, excruciating pain" cover it?  :-)

Well, it's a crushing blow to the ego, because no other moderator or administrator here is "ignored" by anybody.

Only franksolich.

Probably people who registered here and who post at DU, and intentionally put frank on ignore out of anger from being named 1 of the Top 20 Primitives or people who didn't make the Top 20 list.

No, it's two bona fide long-time members in good standing here, but more than that, my professional ethics don't allow me to say.

I will say however that whenever I run into them, I treat them just as well as I treat everybody else.

Well darn!

The deal is, one can "ignore" a moderator excepting in the forums the moderator moderates.

As franksolich moderates three forums here, one of them a pretty big forum, it's hard to ignore him.

I'd imagine it's very hard. I couldln't stand going to yor head moderated forum, and just seeing a bunch of blips from the poster one is ignoring. That's precisely why I do not "iggy" people.

Well, it's a crushing blow to the ego, because no other moderator or administrator here is "ignored" by anybody.

Only franksolich.

That's astonishing. I just checked too.  :-) Especially considering that someone who can be a mega-dick sometimes, (i.e. Me) has Ignored by: 0.

Has me bewildered. Shame to those 2. :p

I'm sorry.

That's four forums.

Ooops again.

That's four forums and four sub-forums.

If one wishes to exchange recipes or discuss homeopathy, one can't ignore franksolich.

:lmao:

But I'm wrong again.  I hope this time I get this straight.

I don't do the recipe forum, although for some reason I thought I did.

franksolich does five forums and three sub-forums.

Which makes my point; even if one has franksolich on "ignore," it's pretty hard to ignore him.

Coach is doing something right. Not too long ago, he was being ignored by 3. Someone has been won over.
