Scott Walker Kills His Wisconsin Union Busting Bill By Publishing It

Wisconsin Republicans stunned the nation today when they published Governor Scott Walker’s anti-union bill in seeming violation of a restraining order. The legislation was enjoined from publishing by a judge who ruled that Republicans violated the Open Meeting law when passing it. By publishing their anti-union legislation and turning it into law, Scott Walker and the Republicans may have killed the bill.

Republicans skirted the judge’s order today by having the legislation published by an agency other than the specifically enjoined Secretary of State, claiming that the constitution does not specify which body must publish a law, while Democrats claim that the law must be published by the SOS.

Which body may or must publish the law appears a moot point, given the judge’s specific ruling, wherein it is clear that she is enjoining and restraining the bill in a much broader context than merely the SOS:

Some DUmbat should send that off to Obama as he is violating at least three court orders as of now.

Actually, the body that published it was required by law to publish it 10 business days after it is signed and the Dem-obstructors simply forgot about it when they had a judge prevent the Sec of State from performing his duty under the state constitution. And then, promptly, left on vacation.

This whole thing is just to keep the wacko-based ginned up and to go after sitting state supreme court member, Prosser, who is running against some liberal bomb-thrower who's whole career has been activism, although she has never been a judge.

This is mostly from the top of my head right now but I am sure I can provide local news coverage later.

So did the Democrats commit a felony in violation of 946.12(1) and 946.12(3)?

God, I cannot believe how boring these DUmbasses are becoming. She's only been gone a week, and I'm already missing the condescending know-it-all DUmmy nadin. The DUmp needs her sage wisdom now more than ever:

Quote
Some people are afraid of the S word, Well, say it with me, STRIKE. Say it AGAIN STRIKE. Repeat after me STRIKE. This is the great thing that will have to happen. Our Radical Republicans have yet to really pay the price for their policies... STRIKE... it is the tool the worker has. It is the tool we have surrendered over the years in exchange for bargaining and good working conditions. They have violated that Social Contract, STRIKE... say it with me again, STRIKE. Now let me warn you. This is not an easy thing. Strikes are not romantic, and in the past people did die, and get roughed up. But that is the tool of the worker. Say it with me, STRIKE. Repeat it, STRIKE.

You can almost taste the arrogance dripping out of every sentence she writes. The DUmp isn't likely to see her equal again, at least until she comes back. No one reads her stupid blog, and OET gets maybe a couple of posts per hour. It has to be killing know-it-all. She's painfully aware of her own brilliance and her divine obligation to be admired, and to educate the ignorant mass of 'Murkin proles, and it isn't getting done. Even at the height of the Nadinocalypse, she still had her little band of DUmp acolytes, hanging onto her every word. Now all she's got is a tiny handful of self-centered pricks at OET, who ignore her, and her mother reading her stupid blog. Oh, and yes, many cases of crappy canned milk. But if she returns to the DUmp, every post will be buried in derision. So, what to do?

As usual, the regressives blame Gov. Walker for something he's not involved with.
Had to go back and check, and found the Legislative Reference Bureau was the entity that published it.
DUmbs lie, DUmbs always lie.

You know, this debate has sparked too much anger on both sides when really, we should be focusing on education reform and the unions. First off, we should be embracing school choices by re-directing funds away from public education and into the form of vouchers for low-income families to send their kids to private school. The poor should have choices where to send their kids to school, they should not have to send their kids to a run-down school where there are a lot of problems. By doing so, you reduce the power of the unions and teachers have two choices: either pay into their own benefits and take less of a pay increase each year, or be unemployed.

I attended a town hall meeting with my Governor (not Walker.) These three Moms from a wealthy district stood up and began complaining about the Governor's education proposals (and accomplishments) when they lived in a wealthy district and clearly had to have money to live there. If these wealthy folks can attend a town hall meeting in the middle of the week, they can sure as heck send their kids to a charter or private school.

The money for that, comes from, where?
"Re-directing" will most likely lead to additional bureaucracy...and cost.

Every public school district receives tax money for each student they claim.  (Not HAVE, but claim.)  In Oklahoma, this is about $5500, the last time I checked.  Simply allow parents to take that tax amount and use it for whichever school they choose.  This amount would easily pay for any of our local private schools.  I'm sure that every area of the country has private schools that charge the same or even less than the public schools receive...and do a far better job.
