Are you better off than you were four years ago?
This needs to be addressed as an issue, it got the second worst President in history elected and could get one that surpasses the awfulness of W elected.
4 years ago, hm, 4 years ago? What happened then? Oh yeah, I know, the DemonRats took control of congress and everything went to shit.

1. Yes. Very much better.
Four years ago, I had no idea what my next step would be. After trying several paths, I found one that works. So, yes, things are better for me in 2011 than in 2007. Much better.
So you got off your lazy ass and got a job?

6. Worse off. Can't even hardly afford to go grocery shopping....
But those rich must have their tax breaks and we must have our wars, etc., etc.
Unless you're sucking the government teat, those shouldn't matter much.

That isn't a belief, that's fantasy.

21. Not at all. I had a job 4 years ago.
Now I'm a student because I got laid off. It's only a matter of time until I blow through my savings and have to either live in my car or try to see if a relative will put me up.
Getting this degree is the only hope I have for the future and I still have a ways to go before that happens assuming I can find a job when I'm done.
So no I'm not better off than I was four years ago and as a 99er I know exactly how much of a **** the politicians give to my plight.
Nope not better off at all.

Interesting how people became less better off when the Dems took over Congress, that couldn't have anything to do with it? could it? :whistling:
-
Unemployment doubled and then some, food and gasoline prices have risen, state taxes have gone up, health care costs have gone up, insurance prices have gone up, the deficit has gone up, the debt has gone up...and they're trying to find some way to claim that things are getting better. :mental: :mental:
-
To answer that question... nope.
I'm unemployed and struggling to make sure our bills are paid. Never had this problem when Bush was in office.

Don't tell me, you were stupid enough to pay 900K for an 1100 SF house and thought it would go even higher? Oh, wait, the loan was 5.2% WHAT A DEAL.

That reminds me. Back during the Bush Prosperity, I used to watch those TV shows where people were buying houses, doing some half-assed renovations, and then immediately reselling them for fantastic prices. I'd like to see some reruns, along with the prices those same houses wold fetch today. I remember cramped little Sears catalog cottages selling for $600K-$700K out there in the Peoples' Republic. I'd also like to know what scams those house flippers have moved on to.

LOL, I think you're right! Oh well. What the hell is that slacker doing on the computer when they could be out helping the good citizens of WI? If he didn't work for the state he would still be at work.

I am, a bit...and I attribute it all to how choices I made worked out, and none of it to politicians of either party.

4 years ago I was 42. I didn't have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, 2 kids about to graduate high school.
Yeah, I was better off.
Heh.

The only people better off are public sector union employees.
Our seniors have not had a COLA for two years and we all know real inflation has been at 10% since the Obama regime gained power.
Real private unemployment is at 20+%.
State, county, and city governments are bankrupt.
Taxes are higher.
Record number of people on food stamps.
Record number of people in poverty.
Record number of bankruptcies, foreclosures, and defaults.
Health insurance is up an average 30% this year due to Obama care.
And we got all this while the federal donks deficit spent SIX TRILLION DOLLARS.
It is amazing what Nanzi Pelosi, Reid, and Obama have destroyed in four short years.

How very true.
You can't help but laugh at their stupidity/ignorance.

Most of them declared bankruptcy, or just abandoned the house. But, as we all know, it was those horrible Rethuglicans that caused the mortgage mess..........that and "greedy" bankers. :whatever:

I always thought house-flipping sounded about as good an idea as becoming a professional crapshooter.

See? That's why you'd never make a good professional crapshooter/house flipper. You think too damned much. :-)
