Speaking of incivility... someone who's been a stalwart, highly contributive member for a very long time has informed me and others that the member left DU, and I, for one, am very upset about it. Attacked on every thread by the same people, the poster just gave up. Shame...I enjoyed reading the informative OP's and other contributions of that member.

Can it be true? Has the know-it-all brains of the DUmp left the building? Hopefully, she will post here or at FR to let us know officially. Rest assured, if she hasn't been tombstoned, with a stake driven through her heart, she will be back in a matter of days, if not hours. Her little flock of DUmbasses is floundering around with no idea of what they should be doing to protect themselves from radiation sickness.

Well I know I am still missing a few (many) of my friends here
but after fourteen hours of saying my good byes... well good bye.
I need time away... and that is she wrote.
I love many of you here and you will be missed... but there is a limit on how long I can try to track you individually and send PMs... so many so far.
So to many of you, well you have made a difference in my life in a very positive way. For that I thank you.
To DU admins and owners, time to look into the mirror and deal with your stalking and bullying problem problem... it is a serious one and just gotten worst over the years.
On to the twitter... and the rest of my life. If I ever come back though... no longer as a donating member.
Suffice it to say... I expect this to be locked... nature of the beast... so be it.
To the stalkers, I guess you win.
Go dance a jig... I know you will. Perhaps it is time to learn NOT to do that, but I guess that will not happen.

But I might have to post links to it as I work on articles. Get repetitious to post things in two places to be honest.
As to the events o'ver there, it is more about management than the kids. Kids get away with that when the teachers let them. That was an old lesson from HS... and the Principal is asleep at the wheel.
And yes, they hate to be called on it.

You just need to buy iodized salt. Make sure you buy in bulk. I think Sam's Club sells an 80 lb container of iodized salt. That should keep you safe.

That is precisely why I don't read the OEM. I tried. All the arrogance concentrated in one little pouch makes for the opposite of entertaining.
One guy had a thread seemingly all to himself. He would copy/paste fatuous articles written by someone else, then wait for a reply. None came, so he c/p'd another article in the next post, with the same results. This was repeated for quite some time.
