Can someone please explain this to me?

I'm a bit confused, with Boehner's comments yesterday about Obama not alerting Congress of the military actions, and with Kucinich's statement about impeachment. If this is a UN sanctioned action, does Obama really have to run anything by Congress?

within the 48 hour time frame, which he is required to do pursuant The War Powers Resolution of 1973.

I'm sure if Bush had just sent a letter, you would have been fine with that.
Oh wait he went to congress and they voted to allow him to proceed and you idiots still said it was illegal.

100% voter approval. Nothing less will do.

BTW Bush received TWO Use of Force Resolutions. A second one was demanded by Hillary and the other senate donks so they could appear to be tough on foreign policies prior to the election of 2004. However, by the election of 04, the democratics were out saying that the Use of Force Resolutions were not really Use of Force Resolutions.

Yeah that was a neat little trick the Dems tried. They voted to allow Bush to take action, then complained when he did.
The whole Bush lied meme is bullshit too, first of all the claim never was that Saddam had WMDs, it was that he was working to acquire them and we needed to stop him before he had them. I heard with my own ears what he and his administration were saying before we dropped the first bomb.
Secondly everyone in the intelligence world, and damn near ever govt on the planet all said that Saddam was working on WMDs. They act like Bush pulled the WMD argument out of his ass. In fact the big Dawg himself had claimed the same thing and even took an action or two based on that premise.
