Title: CDs and stereo confiscated after man plays Whitney Houston repeatedly

One fan of love songs has had his CD collection and stereo confiscated after he kept his neighbours awake by blaring out Whitney Houston hit 'I'm Every Woman'.

The man in question, who has not been named, irritated other people living in his Folkestone block of flats by playing his 'tiny collection of CDs', including the Whitney hit and rap songs by 50 Cent, over and over again.

He was served with a noise abatement notice but, when this went unheeded, officers were forced to break down the door of his flat and confiscate his CDs and stereo.

Liam Flannery, an environmental health officer for Shepway District Council, said: 'It must have been a nightmare for the other people living there.'

I'm cheering.

Why didn't the neighbors just break the door down and destroy this guys CD player themselves?

Good, I hate bad neighbors. I'm cheering too.

I lived in a old apartment building once and some young idiots played their music every night as loud as they could. I got pissed and went to the furnace room and shut off their power. After a few nights of losing power they got the idea.

Part of the reason I live where I do now is beacuse my nearest neighbors are 5 KM away meaning I don't have to worry about that crap anymore.

Ya know something?  Keep this up, and you'll hit 500 H5s before you get to 1000 BSes.  I just gave you another H5 for dealing with the problem.  I had two guys living under us that, one night, decided to crank their stereo to the point that it was vibrating stuff in our bedroom.  And, my town has a noise ordinance, which they were about half an hour outside of.  I waited a bit, then called the NYSP.  They showed up and "corrected the problem."  Those two guys didn't make it to the end of their six-month lease.

Love it, a neighbor who lived above me played rap music all night long just high enough for us to hear it in the bedroom.    Drove me nuts but what took the Turkey prize was when he attacked his water bed with something sharp and the water drained down the walls into the electrical boxes and caused the ceiling to  begin to bulge out over my bed.

We reported it right away but no one came to look at the damage in our apartment even after repeated calls. The the upstairs renter  had to pay $2,000 for the damage caused to his apartment .     Our lease was up so we moved 6 states over after hiring a company to come in, clean the carpets that were at least 15 years old, and cleaned all bathrooms, kitchen appliances and tile floors.

We received a notice a few months later that our $1,000 deposit could not be returned do to the water damage in our ceiling, replace the damaged old carpets and repaint the walls where the water from above had damaged them.

A word to renters today, get a video camera and tape everything when you first move in to when you leave.   This will help if you are staying 50 miles from the old apartment.   If you are military or civilians and move away from that area ---forget the security deposit, the ex-landlords will find something to get you on.   When one puts down a security deposit expect to eat it, I have received these deposits back from a few landlords but that was a big surprise to me.

And yes I have been on the other side of the coin renting my home out and never again.
