AP article at the link. (http://www.npr.org/2011/03/18/134665244/fda-panel-menthol-cigarettes-make-quitting-harder?ft=1&f=1001)
I don't know about other places, but most of the people I see smoking menthols are black. Only occasionally have I seen a white person smoking them. I remember a couple of years ago there were complaints about menthol cigarettes being targeted towards blacks. Now, this has me wondering if the tobacco companies are being set up for race based lawsuits.

I used to smoke............
I tried a menthol one time when I was really needing one and it was the only thing offered. OMG, it made me so sick to my stomach. Disgusting.

I smoke these. I can have it either way if I want. Regular, or menthol. I usually go menthol though. Oh well. At least I ain't smoking Virginia Slims...
Either flavor you smoke, it isn't good for you, and I wouldn't be so rash to say quitting is harder with menthol. They didn't even really use the excuse that it's easier on the throat as they easily could have. I'm a dumbshit, and I thought of it. They couldn't? Nope. They just went to: "It's targeting kids, and blacks." I think they are making partially a racial issue, Thundley, and I think that's pretty disgusting, actually.
I also resent it.
