I think rich people need to be given a history lesson on the French Revolution and the guillotine.
More violent rhetoric.

3. So explain to me, how people can vote REPUBLICAN
who don't even make $100,000? They think they are someday going to be MILLIONAIRES? Or they are living under a rock (like my Rep husband) and think THEY are making a lot of money with these salaries?
The Republican Party depends on a whole lot of STUPID people who are voting against their own interests.
Ok smart girl tell me how exactly the democrats are good for my self interest.
Taxing the hell out of people will not do a damn thing to make my life better.
Depending on foreign oil makes me pay more when I go to the pump doesn't help.
Food prices going up because we use corn to add in gas is not in my best interest.
Deficits as far as the eye can see creating inflation and an economy with no jobs sure as hell doesn't help me one bit.

4. yes, they think they will be millionaires some day.
Edited on Mon Mar-14-11 06:26 PM by provis99
That is actually the reason they vote Republican. It's the same false hope that led hundreds of thousands of poor whites to fight for the Confederacy, even though they didn't own slaves; because they felt they were going to be rich slaveowners someday.
No I probably will never be a millionaire, but I don't want to be taxed at 90% so how could I in good conscience advocate someone else getting taxed that high?

8. The insecure NEVER feel "rich enough."
These people will always be worried they'll die in poverty. But you have to wonder, if we had universal health care, maybe many of them -- many of all of us -- would stop worrying and finally feel secure enough.

Thinks of the cool mods you could make to a Buick with 7 million dollars. :o

**** you,you imbecilic assholes...I don`t think I will ever be "rich" as you define it but if the government you desire can take all that one who is has then it can surely take all of mine too.
That is the history of leftisim and you ignorant fools will be worse of they you are now as totalitarianism has no patience for useless malcontents.

I think you should work for a living instead of being dependent on the gubberment for your welfare check or "free" hellcare. I bet your mind would change mighty quick to see how hard it takes to be come rich and that it is deserved DUchebag.

13. After the shooting in Arizona
I read post after post here advocating toning down the rhetoric. I thought it was a good idea.
Not that the comparison is the same situationally, but from a rhetorical standpoint, imagine Limpballs said Al Gore needs a lesson on the French Revolution and the guillotine. The outrage here would be epic, and rightly so.
Yet I see post after post here hinting at violence (especially when the rich are mentioned) and no one seems to care (occasionally a few do, like me).
So were we serious when we said that the rhetoric needs to be toned down or not?
Dummy begging for a tomb-stoning.

We think different than you DUmmies. We don't think the government owes us an existence.

$7 million is rich.
So collecting gubmint checks and not working is rich?

I saw a Top Gear episode yesterday morning where they modified a Benz S-Class and put a functional wood stove--it actually had a fire burning in it--in the back seat. The chimney got knocked off at least once that I saw. It was a riot. :lmao: :rotf: :lmao: :rotf: :lmao: :rotf:

Ohhhh, Bobo should find herself a wood stove at the dump and put it in the backseat. Then she wouldn't have to let her car run for heat and cause global warming.

She wouldn't need anything that bulky. Just a little Coleman propane camping stove would heat up the Buick nicely. And Bobo could start contributing elaborate recipes to the DUmp cooking forum just like poor, stupid Beth. She might want to crack a window for safety.

Now there's a reality show. A homeless woman living in a Buick showing people how to cook.
It could be called "Survivor: Bobo the Hobo and her Buick." She could also be "The Angry Bachelorette."

Coupla things:
if we had universal health care, maybe many of them -- many of all of us -- would stop worrying and finally feel secure enough.
If there was one thing that would keep me lying awake in bed, terrified, it would be universal health care.
And secondly, to lurking DUmmies: The ultra wealthy in this country are all democrats. This includes Alan Grayson.

a good response on New Republic on how you can't just "tax the rich" and end the deficit....
There aren't enough millionaires... (http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/262045/there-aren-t-enough-millionaires-kevin-d-williamson)
But say we wanted to balance the budget by jacking up taxes on Club 250K. That’s a problem: The 2012 deficit is forecast to hit $1.1 trillion under Obama’s budget. (Thanks, Mr. President!) Spread that deficit over all the households in Club 250K and you have to jack up their taxes by an average of $500,000. Which you simply can’t do, since a lot of them don’t have $500,000 in income to seize: Most of them are making $250,000 to $450,000 and paying about half in taxes already. You can squeeze that goose all day, but that’s not going to make it push out a golden egg.
But like certain other exclusive clubs, Club 250K has an inner sanctum, a special club within the club, the champagne room of socioeconomic status. And that is Club 1: the million-dollar-a-year club. Not the millionaires’ club — lots of the people earning $1 million in any given year do not have $1 million in assets — but, still, a million a year, even in rapidly depreciating U.S. dollars, is not too shabby. But the trouble for liberals is, Club 1 is really, really exclusive: Only 0.2 percent of U.S. households have incomes that high, meaning that there’s only about 200,000 of them. And like Club 250K, Club 1 is bottom-heavy: There are a lot more $1 million men than there are $6 million men. And there are a whole heck of a lot more $6 million men than there are $60 million men.
You want to tax Club 1 to get rid of the deficit, you have to hit each of those 200,000 households with an average tax hike — not an average tax bill, but tax increase — of $6 million. And a lot of those Club 1 households don’t have $6 million in income to start with, much less $6 million left after the taxes they’re already paying.
Every time you raise the threshold for eating the rich, you get a much, much smaller serving of meat on the plate — but the deficit stays the same. The long division gets pretty ugly. You end up chasing a revenue will-o’-the-wisp.

There's not enough millionaires in the world, let alone the US in order to fix the deficit! Primitives just don't understand we can't just keep printing money! They truly believe the government is a bottomless pit!
They have no qualms borrowing money from our enemies, since they want us to be more like them. They actually think Cuba is a progressive paradise! Just ask the stooooopidest scrunt on the interweb, Beth!
