The CRISIS many of us have spoken about is now HERE
now realize there are several points to be made.
Some folks who otherwise would be your allies, will get weak in the knees. What is before us is easy to speak off in academic ways, different when you need to raise a strike fund, and set First Aid Stations, and police your own people for yes, rats. A few... not many, in the astroturf movement, will have waking up, coming to Jesus moments. But the battle is now in the streets. It will not be short and in the beginning they have most of the balls. Leaders will emerge, and it will spread.
This is the beginning of a long war... but at least it is now actively joined. I do not know if it will take months, or years, I actually think we are now in a generational fight... but the battle is now here... the crisis is here.

2. It's going to be a slow simmering crisis.
We aren't nearly there yet. But we have been making insane choices at the polls.
Yes, you DUmmies always make insane choices. Only the one reply so far.

One wishes nadinostradamus hurries up and crosses the Styx instead.

Darn. Got to it before I did you filthy Repuke! :p
In all seriousness, can NadinBrain loose it if she never had it in the first place? I'm curious as to how that works.
Her posts may be a little more tolerable if it weren't for all the drama. Alas, that's what makes Nadin, Nadin. :whatever:

Can we please, please tone down the rhetoric....

You know, franksolich has a theory, a pretty good guess.
The nadinostradamus primitive has always had a hysterical side to her, but since last autumn she's heightened the pitch.
I first noticed this when the nadinostradamus primitive suddenly out of the blue was posting prolifically in the chronic health conditions forum on Skins's island. Then she made that desperate last-minute run during voting for the top primitives of 2010. And now the past month the nadinostradamus primitive's been big on this "revolution" and "prediction" stuff.
The nadinostradamus primitive is circa 45 years old, give or take a year either way.
There's a reason she's become a sudden attention whore.
I think her husband's turned cold on her.

Does the souper jeanus nadainbrain know that Wisconsin PUE members vote about 50/50 R/D?
That means 50% of that sweet taxpayer extortion money is not going into donk reelection campaigns. I will also bet that 50% of those PUE employees are popping corks tonight.

It's quite possible Frank (And who could blame him, really), but she strikes me as the kind of person who would absorb and get spun up by all the '2012 doomsday' hype, and her increasingly-apocalyptic view of politics may just be symptomatic of the slipping grip on reality of another middle-aged End-o'-the-Worlder.

7. You're right, nadine...
But what the hell do we do? I was horrified when Ronald Reagan (GE spokesman) was elected in 1980. I was horrified when he destroyed the Air Controllers union. I was horrified when the Presidential election was stolen in 2000.... and when it was stolen again in 2004. To say nothing of the bullshit war on Iraq and the interminable mud pit of Afghanistan. The election of Obama buoyed me up all the way through his inaugural address. And then what? I see by today's posts that the "Comfortable Shoes" Administration has "angrily" counseled against a strong Democratic reaction to the events in Wisconsin. So what the hell do we do? I guess I'm just a tired old New Deal Democrat, but I've felt that the crisis is here for a long time now.
So what do we do?
I'm sorry if this looks like I'm angry at you, nadine. I'm not, I'm always grateful for your posts.
But...again. What do we do now?
??? I wonder if this one spends time lurking here. I haven't seen her called Nadine anywhere else, and I think I may be the one that started that. I may have my very first internet stalker. :yahoo: :yahoo:

11. It may devolve into the uglinnes I expect if they think
they cannot control it. (civil war)
Nadine, if there is a civil war your side will fir the first shot. I don't know what else will happen, but my side will fire the final shot. You will not win.

Agree. The most entertaining time I've ever had on the innertubes was in 1999, on several forums dedicated to Y2K crazies. Their craziness easily approached that of the DUmp, and there were swarms of apocalyptic lunatics like know-it-all nadinbrzhzhzhzhski. As 12/31/99 approached, many of them were nearly incapacitated by fear. For normal people, it was hilarious, and you could have a ball trolling. I'd love to read what know-it-all nadin was saying in December '99.
Y2K, for a short time, was as profitable a hoax as global warming. But after a few billion dollars were wasted, 1/1/00 arrived, and the hoax was exposed. Global warming can't generate such a frenzy, but over a period of years it will be far more profitable for the scammers.

I remember taking some of my undergraduate classes at NCSU at the time and being regaled with tales of Cobol programmers making $90 an hour updating one system or another for Y2K. It was unbelievable.

In December, '99, all the nadin clones were saying that only maybe a quarter of the desperately necessary reprogramming had been done, but on 1/1/00, everything worked, the lights stayed on, planes didn't fall, and the Y2K loonies evaporated overnight.

Just waiting to see how much longer before the stupid scrunt gets a granite cookie stuffed in her "hole". :rotf:
